  1. At least I THINK it's turbo... A-Z Auto wrecking on Table Rock Rd. Medford/Central Point south Oregon. I work all the hours they're open this week so I can't check it out until next monday.
  2. Why hasn't anyone suggested the EJ22 yet? I'm not suggesting that, just asking why no one has yet.
  3. Um.... lifting should be exactly the same since in 1990 all they did was pry off GL and DL badges and put new ones on that said "Loyale" and add automatic seatbelts. Maybe a few other things. Both had 3.90 diffs. Find out when the timing beltS were last changed and find out if he's one of those idiots who think the car is "all wheel drive" and drove it around with the red button pushed in. Keep thje Loyale as a driver, mod the GL out if it has d/r transaxle.
  4. I had the chance to do this and should have taken it. In Nevada, a Nevada driver driving a Nissan was so close behind me I couldn't see his hood. That's right, his HOOD. I'm guessing the distance was 2-3 inches. I could have let off the gas at 75 and would have got bumped. He finially passed me and the 3 or 4 cars in front of me in a no lane change turn.
  5. Well, don't have a Subaru any more but I found out there's a gas station in town that sells race gas. I didn't look but I'd bet it's 100+ octane and $6+ a gallon. Would it hurt to run a few gallons through an EA engine?
  6. You need to put a 12 inch gold plated chain link steering wheel in there
  7. Yeah that's the price I pay for movin' back home. $21 a month for slow, local no name unreliable service.
  8. Well, here's the one I made myself. Not exactly professional and looks more like an EA82 but it should be nice when it's painted and mounted to the body.
  9. Did you replace the air filter? After scrubbing the jump seats you could use some ArmorAll to get them to shine (wouldn't want to slide out of them though)
  10. I started to download this vid on my dinosaur modem and forgot about it. Come back 2 hours later and find a 21 meg video file. What do I get when I try to play it? Windows Media PLayer Error: Class Not Registered. @#$%!
  11. On Mythbusters they took 2 new identical Ford F-150s and drove them the same distance, one with the tailgate down. That one ran out of gas first, the reason being that with the gate up it keeps a circle of air flowing in the bed and causing less drag. Truck makers design it that way, not so sure about Brats though.
  12. Hey now Subieman, Jibs made a point to ask. I think it would be rad to meet as many USMBers as possible. I wasn't planning to go to WCSS8 due to my move to AZ, but..... unfortunately I had to choose between the desert and my favorite girl in the whole world, and you know how that goes so it looks like I'll be staying in the PNW. I still want to travel all over the country and Australia in BMWs and grease burning MBs and Soobs though. Effin west Colorado, south Canada and north Mexico are the furthest places I've ever been.
  13. I think all you gotta do is remove and plug the vaccuum lines coming from the engine then bolt the d/r right in. I hope to do the same when I can afford another 4x4 toy.
  14. Or you could pull an EJ22 from a junkyard Legacy and pop it in there
  15. Changing the muffler won't affect emmisions as long as you keep the catilytic convertor intact
  16. I think if a Brat is going to have a twin turbo ER27 it should have a wild paint job to match, such as bright reds and oranges together in some flaming design. Not like traditional hotrod flames, but like an explosion or something.
  17. :headbang:Neue Klasse BMWs rock! <---- 72 2002 here:headbang:
  18. Oh yeah and that was my 400th post! W0000000000T!!!!!1 SUBARUS FTW!
  19. I know it's 9 months old, but it's my thread! Thinking back I realize that this was one of the best memories of my life. I actually did pass through Reno twice with a few spare hours and wanted to meet Jibs but had no internet connection. I've gotta get another comfy Loyale so I can do this again. And I urge anyone who has never been to Bryce Canyon to see it whenever you can, it's freakin amazing (plus good spots on public land to wheel are everywhere)
  20. I've seen 1 or 2 BMW Isettas with Suzuki Hayabusa engines (I'm sure wrecked 'Busas aren't too hard to find) 11,000 RPM baby! Oh yeah the point is if it will fit in a BMW it will probably fit in a 360 too
  21. If it ends up being the switch, you can easily wire up your own for under $20.
  22. Thanks guys. It was the fuse (duh!) that had me stumped for 3 days. Of course now the car is dead again 30 miles away, but that's another story
