My wagon shrank!
Wow, thats the cleanest one I've seen yet. Great score Just over 31K too Good thing it came west a year after it was new. Otherwise it would be a rust bucket. May I ask what you paid?

Q:rear 89' Turbo wagon trailing arms fit 88' GL wagon? Shld I take the rear diff?
Yes, it will bolt right up. The bearing is part of the swingarm/hub. Like Chux said, grab the sway bar also.

New to me 87 RX (horay!)
If you do decide to up the boost, make sure you get a good boost controller. I bought one off Ebay that was cheap and paid the consequences It was sure fun at 12lbs tho :-p

My Day!! Warning Carter Subaru
I suppose you didnt do a search or research anything about Carter? You could even asked Russ about them. Could have asked here even before going. Its common knowledge to most of the Subaru community in Puget Sound that they suck badly. And per XT6.net, how do you know that the rad you ordered was for a XT6? Its a good thing you didnt get it. Try returning that to them.

New to me 87 RX (horay!)
Anything over 7psi is over for a EA82T. I blew the ring landings off of my last one at 12psi, Did the fuel light come on when you were out of gas?

New to me 87 RX (horay!)
Sounds like the the thermostat is out of whack. Get a OEM replacement for it and I suggest asap. Overheating will kill the EA82T, that and overboosting I'm one of those that have been thru a few engines in my RX :-\

somewhat concerned
You can try reving it up to 3K a few times(or more). It may take a little bit for the hla's to pump up.

New to me 87 RX (horay!)
Was it a turbo 280? I believe it has to be a turbo, otherwise they are the same flow as the stock EA82T injectors. Heres a link to a search I just did. Its old, but the info is still relavent. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=26375&highlight=datsun+280+injectors

Going to Seattle in April. Official Now..see last page
Hmmm, if I recall correctly, you got food poisening from that and had to leave the Show early. Now with that being said, you can bring it but I dont think anyone is going to be willing to suffer the same malady as you did. I'll stick to the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes/gravy and greenbeans Dang, I'm getting hungry already :-p

Sheesh, sounds like everyone is trying to invite themselfs over for dinner:rolleyes: The 13th is looking to be the best day for a M&G.

I think I will leave that up to her. If she wants to see some people I can set stuff up. But she may be busy working on her car. And making me dinner Oh, and she will probably want to see some of the area a little also. Maybe make a run to EC We can turn that into a M/G.

PICS,were did the wheels go?
You/we live in a area thats full of 2 Gen stuff. I'm sure there will be a Brat around where you can get those parts soon enough.

new brat-(56k,yeah probly not)
You might want to add some gussets to the bases/posts for added stability. Just a suggestion. But the progress is looking good. Gotten further than I have

How many have you meet and greeted.
Huh, CRS at such a young age

Really upset.
Well, that might be your problem! The vacumn modulator on the tranny could be bad and is pumping AT fluid back up into the intake. Pull the vacumn line from the tranny off the intake manifold and see if there any fluid coming out. If so, thats the culprit.

Interesting thoughts...
Yes, you get decent power out of a bigger turbo. But it needs to be run conservatively, like no upping the boost. At least not for long periods.
-
Really upset.
This is probably a dumb question, but is it a AT? Alot of times when theres antifreeze thats leaked into the exhaust system, it takes awhile for it to burn out. Let it run for about a hour and see if it still smokes.

Interesting thoughts...
I usually dont like to rain on folks parades (not often) But the ER27 is not a very good choice if you want performance. Its just a morphed EA82, essentially the same block design and all. Theres no aftermarket support for it(just like the EA82T) and if you turbo it, your going to end up with the same problems the people running hot EA82T's have. Cooling being the biggest headache. And with having to mod the rad for this swap, your in for real problems. I know the engine came to you cheap (free?) and it looks like a fun project. But a EJ20G is a much funner engine to drop into a RX and its been done succesfully. If you choose this path, good luck and keep us updated.

Lowered hatch with lowpros?
I wouldnt go with Pugs, the offset is to much and you will have major rubbing. Unless you rolled the fenders. I would look for some other wheels, maybe Chevy or Mazda and redrill them. You might be in for a rough ride if you cut the front springs. Might be some other struts available out there. Wasnt there a American model that was a direct swap over?

Qmans Imp on the rise
I wasnt sure which forum I should post this, if a Mod wants to move it, please feel free to. This was during our Mt Loop/Mt Baker run today. We were looking to get up to a look out, but the gate was closed and locked :-\ But on the road up we discovered a little rise in the road. We had people top and bottom to stop any traffic and also had radios for communication. Qman, Zap and I all had runs at it. I took a couple of Qman with my digi camera, but unfortunatly, the quality of its vid capabilities suck. But heres a link to the YouTube vid I uploaded. And heres some stills from today. It was good to see Mike W. again. He's got himself a nice Wagon now, its the one on the far left. Zap and Qman and the others that were there today have more pics. They are welcome to post them here if they wish

I Did it Went Real New Gen!!
Its funny how things work out sometimes I'm a firm believer in a crazy theory I have. That if you want something really bad and no matter how you try, its always out of your reach. Then sometime the road, after you have given up, something better comes into your life. Yeah, sounds corny, I know. But its happened to me enough times. But dont expect something for nothing tho. Things come to you only if you work hard and deserve to be smiled upon by the Subaru Gods :-p Glad it all worked out for you Connie

I Did it Went Real New Gen!!
Heyyyyy, just 2 days ago you said it wasnt going to happen? Did you go somewhere else, or did you win the lottery and are keeping that a secret? Btw, congrats. Oh, and do you still want a EA82 wagon? :-p
