If the track and field are swamped, I can just imagine what the offroad area looks like Remember this? That was in July. It must be a small lake right now :-p

North Seattle RX Meet: DISCUSS
Turbone replied to Subarutex's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Cant conflict with any RallyX dates either -
Hey Pat, nice to see your still kickin! Give me a call sometime? Did any of those dashes that I gave you work? I could use one right now :-p And I think I found the culprit of the digi demise. I still need to do a on line search for the part (NEC) but it should be readily available.

Either I need to get a beater, or I'm doing something wrong :-\ Maybe my next acquisition will remedy this

What about your timing? Have you advanced it at all? Or did I miss that

Going to pick up another Subaru tonight

I would say its the timing. Make sure you plug the green test connectors together before setting the timing. I sometimes forget and have to redo it. They should be under the steering column. And there could be a possibility of a clogged cat. -
I'm waiting for pics from the one thats 4 sale on CL here locally.

WCSS10 Location and Date Set!
Turbone replied to WCSS's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Believe me, it crossed my mind. Plus thers a $ issue. Just a general admission ticket is $55, plus if theres swag to buy.... I'm not sure about the line up yet. It might be the clincher on whether I go as to who will be playing. Ok, heres the line up: The band will consist of Anderson, Squire, Howe and White, with Oliver Wakeman. Oliver is Ricks son. Which should be ineresting. -
A D/R tranny is not designed for RWD. It will eventually eat the teeth off the ring gear in the front diff. It has nothing to do with torque or HP. The gear set is not designed for it. Been there, done that.

I dont recall from your previous posts if the car has had a tuneup yet? Start by changing the fuel filter, then the usual tuneup parts. Then check over all the hoses to make sure they are tight, ie hose clamps.

WCSS10 Location and Date Set!

Well, I just found out today that I can get pre-sale tickets for a old "Super Group" for a concert on Aug 15th :-\ The group is YES. I'm still a big fan and I've wanted to see them since the early 70's. This sucks If WCSS was close this year, it wouldnt be a issue. But making the drive down to Astoria after a concert would be rough. Unless I thought I was back in the 70's and I ..................nevermind -
Lol, our market is completely different than yours :-p If its in very good shape, you should make a good profit. If not, your going to have to haggle over price. Good luck with the sale.

How long have you been working on that now? Go to the XT6 site and look up Mr.Radon. He built a ER27 using hi-po parts. He has all the links and products he used, very detailed. Definatly check the timing and if you did use something other than the suggested MAF cleaner, you could be looking at replacing the unit.

Just bought a 2.5rs coupe. WHat can i do with it?
Turbone replied to RSCoupe's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
Doing a search on NASIOC should reveal alot of results. The swap has been done quite a bit with lots of variations. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=1&f=87 -
Actually, thats one of the things that doesnt effect the digidashes. Its usually due to old, weak components that cant handle a voltage spike from a alternator thats probably got a few weak diodes in it.

Just leave it hooked up in the car and give it juice at the terminals. Pull the back off the ign....you know the rest Once the power is on, you should be able to see if theres a read out.

NEW......... to me my Rx
Turbone replied to spokanesoob's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Nice score...... Dont forget, I got mine for $450 almost 5yrs ago. Now I have about $2500 into it And worth every penny :-p -
No, no tee fitting. It comes off the side of the t-stat housing and runs on top of the intake, back to the turbo. Theres a short hard line then a soft line, then back to a hard line on the turbo. The hose is maybe 6in long. I replaced mine with a silicone hose, but it started leaking again. Found out the clamp wasnt tight. Theres another hose, much smaller, about 1/4, that runs from the housing to the intake. That little thing likes to leak when it gets old too.

Theres a hard return line that runs from the turbo, going under it and along side the head to the front where theres a boss in the head. The feed line is on top, from the t-stat housing to the turbo.
