  1. I cant remember what the torque came out to, but it pulled really hard all 3 times. Wasnt it over 200? The RX is my last EA82T, not going to mess with them any more. You guys can keep playing with em, I want to RallyX next year :-p Mine will be for sale next spring
  2. Yup....this thread is useless without pics. How do we know its even a Subaru? :-p
  3. I might want a pair of those headlight buckets. The one red mirror is for a XT/XT6. The 2 black seat belts are for a back seat (I think). Of course, a OEM alternator. 3rd light is for a EA81 Hatch/Sedan. I cant tell what the accordian looking thing is, unless you take a pic at a different angle. But it still looks odd :-\ You need to take some pics that are a little bit clearer :-p
  4. That sounds like a interesting trip, one I've never done before. I guess timing is important tho. Been wanting to get together with you on a run for a while. Pick a date Mike.
  5. How hard is it to swap a 5spd 4wd into a Justy that has the ECVT? If'n I had the complete drivetrain to go with it. Ah, ok. Just did a quick serach (duh) and it sounds like Bratsrus did a 5spd swap into a ECVT before.
  6. The wire that comes off the cap goes to a harnees connection (I believe). I have one on my RX, dont know what yours looks like.
  7. Speaking of green....you left your sweatshirt at my place. Better get it soon, or Brian will start wearing it (out) :-p Also been rethinking what car to dyno. I got my snowtires today for the RX and I should be getting the exhaust done in a few weeks. I have until the 1st of Dec to get it dynoed for the same price at PIA, so its really tempting to see what I have at the wheels of the RX after the upgrades.
  8. My 89 RX does the same thing. I believe its just moisture in the connection. Maybe spray some WD40 or other "stuff" in and on the connection and it should be ok. I have yet to do that
  9. He has them posted over on NASIOC. He said to me that he needed to scan them first. Its a pretty interesting sheet.
  10. Our wonderful USMB think tank at work  Making Mts out of mole hills :-p
  11. This is his baseline. Thats it, no turbo.............yet. I'll have to wait a few eeks to get my SVX dynoed there, just to many peeps and not enough time in the day. Plus it was the first time they had a event like this and I dont think they were quite prepared for so many cars to dyno. It was almost a 1hr wait, but a 45min wait normal.
  12. Had a beautiful sunny day for the event, couldnt ask for better. Lots of food and friends.......oh, and Soobs:headbang: Thats me, 2nd from the right. Looking taller than I really am
  13. Yup, thats the little bugger. But its attached to a flat plate and 4 long bolts that attaches it to the diff. All EA81 and EA82 mounts are the same
  14. Past tense now. Been sent out to needy owners :-p I plan on making a trip to the PAP later this week, I'll see if theres any good ones there. How many miles on your Brat Tom?
  15. Thats because it works. I see more 911's winning races than Subarus. Like GD said, maybe in 10 or 15yrs I'll pick up a cheap and thrashed WRX for cheap :-p Heres something to ponder, maybe I should start a whole nother thread on it. What if Subaru was German made???
  16. Good luck with your job, we arent going anywhere
  17. That much play is typical in older Soobs. If your getting a whime and vibrations, then its time for a new bearing. Is the seal leaking? If not, no worries.
  18. Looks like you just painted the ole white one black Good color choice btw
  19. I would want to hear it run before I laid out the cash. But thats up to you. You can try our suggestions to see if you can get it started, but the final decision is yours to make.
  20. Tranny should have nothing to do with the engine firing up. If its been sitting for a while, I would suspect the fuel pump is bad or not getting power, or a bad ground on it. Fuel pump sits under the car, in front of the right rear tire. Theres a connector to it where you can test for power. It might help to diagnose it easier if the green test connector is plugged in. Its either under the dash to the left of the steering coluum, or in the engine bay next to the wiper motor. When plugged in, the fuel pump will cycle continusly.
  21. Thanks for the clarification Boz Having a home in Malibu is nuts. Even if I had the money, the view isnt worth it. The SoCal area has been ravaged by fire the last couple of years, pretty soon there wont be anything left to burn Another reason I couldnt live there.....is the thought of having Sean Penn for a neighbor
  22. Maybe Lk Arrowhead in certain areas. But the locals that live and work in the area are not rich snobs. They are just like us, trying to eck out a living. Kind of resent that comment S'ko
  23. Heh, you dont get more modern than a 87.5 XT-T :-p Digi dash, air suspension, etc
