  1. Bump for tomorrow! NOAA's forecast for the location we will be at, no lack of snow! http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick...52754306793213 07 Xmas tree run 08 run, no snow 09 run 2010 run
  2. I used a early Imp clutch disc on my RX before I swapped everything. The pressure plate wont bolt up tho, but you can still use the disc
  3. If theres no seepage and you have good compression, I wouldnt bother. How about the timing belt?
  4. After further research and reading, I dont think this thing is real. It could be a real good job of CGI, not sure yet
  5. Correct, I should have pointed that out originally. Yeah, you have plenty of room when the rad is removed. I just think using the FG for setting the guide plate clearance could be problematic. With the tool from Gates its just slap it in there and tighten the bolts. The guide plate keeps the belt from possibly jumping teeth.
  6. Using a feeler gauge while the engine is still in the car is/would be a pita. When you tighten the bolts it moves the plate tighter, so the tool Gates provides means you dont need to use the feeler gauge, you just stick it in there and tighten the bolts. We really should have this available here :-\
  7. Havent checked the website yet, but I would assume we do. Went to the corporate site and checked the part numbers, dont see anything listed that was in the TSB yet. Email sent to corporate, will post results.
  8. Not sure if this has been discussed or not, but I got this link from a member here (unable to post it) But the info should pertain to all of the US. http://www.gates.com/australia/downloads/download_common.cfm?file=TSB_002_Correct_Timing_Belt_Clearance_is_Critical_On_Subaru_Engines.pdf&folder=news&view=australia&location_id=18884
  9. Not able to check numbers right now, but try posting this over at the SVX forum. http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=30&f=5
  10. The lines from the compressor will not fit the 02 unless you use the condenser also. Ask me how I know.
  11. Forgot the 86 GL10 Turbo Wagon I got for free :-p Sitting in a backyard in east Seattle for a few years, it was pretty ugly. Qman helped me get it home and he was embarrassed to have it on his trailer. Before It cleaned up nicely and my late wife drove it for 4yrs.
  12. I've had a few I've rescued, I'll start with my RX. Before After My 2nd SVX. Before After The 93 Imp I picked up. This was the most work I've put into a car yet to get it back on the road. Before After One of the EA81 coupes I had, no before pics tho. 89 XT S/R 4WD. Before After My first Brat, a 85. Before After The project I'm working on now is a 2002 Fozz. Hit in the front enought that it needed another core support, hood, bumper lights, etc. Before (Bumper and lights removed by PO, but you can see the damaged core support). New core support Put back together Right now it has a 98 hood, lights and bumper on it. But it will be getting replaced with 02 stuff soon.
  13. One of the many coupes I have owned. Wish I had kept this one
  14. I have BC coil overs for a 05 Legacy in the rear of my 89 RX. The EA82 top mount needs to be modded some to attach to the shock. For the bottom, I just removed the backing nut for the stock bolt and drilled the hole out to fit the new bolt size. Then used a longer bolt. For the fronts, 02 WRX model was used and they bolted right up with no mods. For earlier years this may not be the case and the top hat mounting points will need to be redone. Thanks go out to Suberdave for this info.
