  1. Yellow to the Neg and black to the Pos(thats the way it is on my 86 Wagon). I assume the vac hoses go one to the manifold and the other to the carb. Anyone else can feel free to correct me.
  2. I want to. But wether I can make it or not will be up to a couple factors:rolleyes: I'll let you know.
  3. Take a 2x4, make sure its long enough to go across to both fenders and then secure a chain to the hoist points and across the 2x4. Make sure to remove the motor mount bolts. The power steering hoses will need to be disconnected, this is the messy part. Might be a good idea to have a bucket handy. Remove the tierod ends from the hubs and the x-member should be ready to drop. You can remove the steering rack when you have the x-member removed.
  4. Yowsers, that must have been a rude awakening:eek: I think if you jack the front end up and work the linkage while rotating the whells, it might unlock. Then you can see if the gears are ripped up or not. Dont forget the grease:brow:
  5. Very tempting. We'll have to wait and see how things go at home first. Keep in touch.
  6. Trails in OC? I thought it was all concrete and asphalt now:-p The only ones that are left are around Irvine, is that where your talking about?
  7. Thats some deep powder. I was planning on going up on Sat, but other things went down. And Jared never got ahold of me either:-\
  8. I dont have many pics of the Hatch off road at the moment. Got some snow pics from the X-Mas tree run, but I wasnt driving it:-\ I'll find something to throw in.
  9. Its on the Subiefest website of course;) This is the post from Nasioc. You have a choice of Youtube or Flash. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?p=16421740&posted=1#post16421740
  10. Date set for next years Subiefest with a short vid/trailer of this years event. My Hatch made it in the vid. WoooHooo!
  11. Cant say exactly why it did it, but I suggest you replace the alternator.
  12. Depending on your location (USA is pretty big) you might be able to find a used EA82 here on the Board or in your area on Craigslist.org. It would reduce the turn around time, rather than trying to fix a fubared engine.
  13. Get a set of high quality driving lights and change the bulbs out for 100w. They all come with 55w bulbs, but you an find 100w halogens if you look hard enough.
  14. Check the timing, if it still wont get up to speed I would check the fuel filter next. The 3spd AT sucks btw:-\
  15. No room for 6x9's in the factory location in the rear. No pics of one, but I've had enough Hatches to know. The area next to the rear seat bottom has room but you need to build a enclosure for the speaker. Not hard as theres a pocket there already.
  16. Heres my XT6, but with the shadows you cant tell very well how low it is. Kingbobdole has one lower than mine. Subaru Styles has a EA82 wagon thats slammed. I think Calebz has one also.
  17. I just saw one in the local PAP today. I'm going back so I'll see if I can grab it.
  18. Wowsers, your lights really do suck:-\ Dont think mine are that bad, but HID would be a definite improvement.
  19. I think MikeW has his mounted on the rear. Mine is strapped to the roof. If I roll I got that to protect my noggin:D Yeah, I know, not a great idea. But I'm working on a roll cage. I dont like the idea of having to remove/disconnect something to access the gear I have in the back.
  20. Yeah, it would be a shame to look in your rearview mirror and see your board sliding down the road. Still attached to the rack:eek:
  21. The headlights come on halfway? That needs to be clarified some:confused: I would suspect a frayed wire somewhere around the brake pedal/dash area. Have you checked the brake fluid yet?. Make sure the e-brake is all the way down also.
  22. Now you are "Officially" part of an elite group of people:-p Welcome to the club:headbang: You know where to go when/if you need parts and info:brow: GD, if it wasnt for deceased XT6's, we wouldnt have 5lug swaps:burnout:
  23. The outer rails are supposed to have nylon inserts, the inners are just sheetmetal screws. Any sealer should work.
