West Coast Subaru Show #8 Hat thread
Ok, lets stay on topic. It looks like the graphics for the flyers (and maybe more) is going to be the license plate theme. I dont think this is going to work for the hats. How about if we stick to something more Subaru related? That way the hat can be worn for all occasions. But still have the WCSS8 on it, but not as prominant.

EA81T, hissing noise from fuel system
Excuse me for posting the wrong name of the part It is the fuel regulator. I dont know how you would see if the diaphram is bad, its a sealed unit. I would just crank the engine over for about 5sec, give it rest and repeat a few times. This should purge the lines of air.

It just dawned on me. We display the logo on the top of every page here. Did we need permission? Our are we just taking a chance they dont notice?

front to rear..different gear ratio??
He needs to know if its a turbo tranny. The spline count is different, but the gear ratio is the same. The GL 4WD 5spd and DL 4WD 5spd are 3.9. The turbo is 3.7

Check your firing order, again. Quote.... tizzle OK, can I compare this to my problem? I changed the drivers side head. Car Idles beautifully, but when I try to get on the gas, the power is just not there. I REALLY don't want to take that cam case off again, just thinking about it...ugh Check your timing, again.

EA81T, hissing noise from fuel system
No, thats the fuel dampner. Its attached to the fuel rail. Sounds like theres air getting in the line somehow. You will have to check the connections from the fuel pump forward and make sure they are all tight. Or, let me ask this. Is the canister located right at the firewall next to the wiper motor? Then it would be the fuel filter. But then there still might be air in the system.

Where's my two gallons?
True, when the pump handle clicks off that means your tank is full. There is a sensor in the handle that shuts off the flow when just a little backwash comes up the filler pipe. Try not holding the nozzle all the way in the filler pipe and use the half speed when it starts getting full. Either way tho, the gauge should be reading correcly when the tank is filled normally.

I've found that the low fuel light is a pretty honest indicator.

West Coast Subaru Show #8 Hat thread
No, we talked about it in the flyer thread. The people doing the work on the hats will not do logo's. From the Graphics thread: Ok, I've come up with a little incentive. Whoever comes up with the display for the posters/flyers, etc, will have the opportunity to have it used on the hats I'm trying to get made up. The winner will get a free hat Now your probably thinking that I'm a lazy you know what, but really I just dont have time to try and figure out something. Besides, I think that whatever is used will probably be used for the shirts as well. Does this sound fair? Btw, I cant use anything with the Subaru logo or emblem. Copyright laws

Have you looked at the tank? Checked for dents? It could aslo be the float/sending unit in the tank.

front to rear..different gear ratio??
Look at the rear diff, theres a silver tag on it. Might be under a bunch of grease. It should say its a 3.7, at least thats what you should be running with the auto tranny. If the ratios are the same, I would say you have some tires that are not of the same size.

West Coast Subaru Show #8 Hat thread
Why? Are you lost? The most I've spent on a hat was $22. That was from a Harley Dealership. Really. The gal at the shop told that the stitching cost $1per 1000stitches. So the less elaborate the better. Also, the more colors, the more it costs. I'm thinking all gold for the color, it stands out well on most background colors. And gold is a little classier than yellow. If we keep things fairly simple, it will cost less. Keep that in mind. That way we can maybe get nicer hats.

Montegue, my spelling is probably wrong. My wife has relatives there. Real close to Shasta. He's making good time.

Thats not the point. No business will touch it, they cant afford to have a major car manufacturer breathing down thier necks for copyright infringements. If you want a logo on your merchandise, you will have to buy it from Subaru. Or have it sewn on by a someone that has a embroidery machine at home (hint, hint ) That said, lets keep this thread for the flyers and any hat comments in the "Hat Thread". If someone comes up with a illustration for anything, post it over there. It doesnt have to be in common with the flyers.

Maybe a wool blend, maybe a choice of a few. Not sure yet. Price is the big factor. But I did get a catalog from the place today.

Woodies
Pretty rare. Moosens is the expert on this, I think he was trying to get a lead on the material for doing it. A search came up with this. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=51795&highlight=woody

Most definatly, they cant keep you from having that in a sentence or something similiar to that. Never heard anything from all the shirts from the previous shows, or the name we have for it either.

EA81T fuel/intake electrical connectors
There are paper clip size retainers on each plug in the shape of a U(but square). I take a pocket knife and pull the sides out and stick a peice of wire or something small innetween the plug and wire to keep it from locking in place again.
