Trailer wiring for EA82
Has anyone figured out how to wire trailer lights for EA82 wagons? I did a search, but everything that came up was for new gen rigs. I'm trying to save a little time, I know its going to be a PITA searching for the wiring harness in the back panels

XT drag car
Well, for one thing, its in OZ. Second, for the narrowed rear end and skinny front tires, I would say - definately not Subaru running gear. It might just have a tube frame. But if you look behind the front tire, theres a exhaust pipe sticking out. So I might think there could be a import motor of some kind under the hood, certainly turbo or more. I wonder how much of the body is glass?

Issues. Update! Please help
I think your looking for a problem that doesnt exist. Most Soobs that are of this age have these symptoms. Do you have a driveability issue? It might be something as simple as the carb needing adjustment.

Severe front end shaking
It depends. You wont know unless you get under the car and grab either end and move the DOJ/CV around. But in general, if the boots are good, it should be ok for awhile or a long time.

Severe front end shaking
Just for the heck of it, check the lug nuts. Sometimes a tire store will not get them tight enough and after a week or so they can work loose. I'll try and come by sometime this week and take a look at it.

Interior MASTER
It must be the Irish in me, but I hate plaid The EA81 GL-10's had velour seats in the them, these would look sweet in your car.

Brakes
Or the hill holder. The one in my wagon was leaking and I was loosing fluid. So it got the disconnect.

We got between 2.5 qnd 3in today. I'm watching the weather as I type and its still snowing at your place Corky, hasnt snowed here in a couple hours. They say we will get more, I hope so. Qman came by today in his 6, he was all bummed. The car had to much traction and he couldnt have any fun Northguy, you have different snow. Its all packed on the roads, not like here. It turns to slush then ice when it gets cold enough. Then the fun begins Watching the news at 11pm to see all those great Seattle drivers all over the road. Actually saw a report from Snoqualmie pass where some guy from the eastside spun out and got stuck. He was driving a Imp

Snow pics. HP's 05 Xmas tree run.
I've driven the Hatch around town here and once up to Rieter Pit, about 125mi round trip. Not once have any local Cops or other City/County/State Cops even give me a second look. This was a Pierce Co. Sheriff that was doing double duty as a Forestry Cop. It was his job to keep an eye on the snowmobilers and such. I knew I needed mudflaps and fender flares, but the other violations were all news to me. I'm still trying to find the Regs on line, but I'm not having much luck. I might have to stop in at a State Police Station to see if they have that pamplet.

Just a little heads up to the folks with lifted rigs in Wa. State. I had a County Mounty stop me during the X-Mas Tree run on Sat. and he informed me my car was quite illegal to run on the hiways For one, he said the lift was only supposed to be 3in, per the GVW of the car - stock. 2nd, he said the bumper was to high. Its not supposed to be above 26in. He informed me I could be sued if I was in a accident even if it wasnt my fault. 3rd, he said that the fenders have to be within 15deg from the center of the hub, in hiegth. 4th, he said the tire offset was a tad out of line. Like about 4in+. 5th, he said I needed mudflaps. I agreed with him there (I have one in the back of the car, just needs to be cut to fit) He had a little pamplet with him, but I didnt get a chance to look the whole thing over. But it did have the WAC codes, so I should be able to look them up on line to double check everything. He told me I need to trailer it for now on, but have fun today He also told me a couple times that there was enough to give me a $600+ ticket Fender flares will help with the tire offset. The mudflaps are no biggie. But the bumper and supposed 15deg offset for the fenders will present a problem. I might have to make a detachable bar for under the bumper/brushguard to bring it down to code. And maybe some kind of flap that hangs down from the fenders where I trimmed.

Calling all Hatchback drivers....normal or broke?
Is everything still stock? It could be tire selection too. Skinny tires, or underinflated tires might make it more squirelly on corners. But the Hatches do tend to be that way a little.

Had a good time, didnt find a tree tho Gives me a excuse to go to Evans Creek next weekend Got myself stuck once also, pulling off to the side as usual, into the deep stuff. But thats why I carry a shovel Those tires are so wide, they act like a snowplow :-\

XT alternator?
All XT's are oddballs. The alt may work, may not. It may have a serpentine pulley on it, which will have to be changed. Or the mounts may be different. You will only know if you have it there to compare.

A few quick questions
The EA81 is a Overhead Valve engine, and the EA82 is a Overhead Cam. You can tell by the timing belt covers on the EA82. The only thing I can thinnk of that might be different on old and new EA81's is the wiring for the carb. Depending if it was a feedaback system now compared to a later model which is not. Actually it sounds more difficult than it is. Its practically a straight swap.
