  1. If I have the time I might go thru my stuff and look for those hard to find items. Anyone think of some?
  2. Might want to check and see if they are all identical in size. Then check the air pressure. After that, I dont have a clue why it would have after changing tires.
  3. I think I would disconnect the amp wiring you did and see if it still does it. At least rule it out as a problem. If it still does it, check the alternator output. It probably wouldnt hurt to add some grounds also.
  4. I think Bow Wow will turn your rotors for you. If you can get a hold of Austin, I'm sure he can help you do the brakes. Might save you some $.
  5. Problem solved! Added a ground wire to the FP, it works fine now. The engine was still having problems. It seemed like it was fuel starved and running on2/3 cylinders. I could barley get it up to 3K and hold it. I tried just about everything until I was adjusting the disty for the umpteenth time, when I turned it I bumped the main wiring harness and it sputtered and died. Doh! I checked the plugs (I could swear I pushed them suckers together tight) and they were both loose. I had to use the frame rail to push against but they are tight now! After that she fired right up After I did some quick fine tuning, I jumped in (after rearranging stuff inside ) and actually drove it down the street and back. I've had the car for over a year now, gone thru 3 engines trying to get one that was decent enough to put together. Not much luck with ones that had blown HG, they pit the cylinder walls bad when they arent drained of water. Thanks to Qman for providing the running engine and parts car. My RX is finally running! W00T! Its going to be ready for WCSS7, I hope I can get the body work done by then too.
  6. Have a look at the real thing XT6.net Tattoo's
  7. Make sure you attach it real good, otherwise it will slip out from under you. We dont want to hear that you had a accident while putting it on :-\ Whats the pitch on the roof? 5/12?
  8. I tried 3 different relays, still no worky :-\
  9. Wow, another loooong dead one resurrected
  10. Cant you use the original bolt from the x-member? Or is the hole in the control arm the same as the bolt? Shady, would appreciate it if you kept your promotions in your own threads.
  11. Yup, finally at that point. But the fuel pump isnt working properly. I have power to it with the green connector hooked up, it supposed to cycle on off but the pump wont run. I removed the FP and hooked 12v to it and it works fine. I didnt have time to go thru the codes or troubleshoot it today, but is there a common problem and remedy when it does this? If I really have to, I can temp wire it, but I'd rather fix it right.
  12. He may have to do what Skip did a while back. Get an aerial shot
  13. I bet the smoking is from dry valve seals. After you get it running ok, they should seal up again (hopefully). Maybe a can of carb cleaner will help out, also I would definatly get a can of Seafoam for the tank with some fresh gas.
  14. Once you get rolling its not to bad, its the first several feet pulling out of a parking spot that makes you grunt.
  15. Yeah, I neglected to mention that a few weeks ago
  16. That broken wire could be a ground wire. Where's it coming from?
  17. That original key case is a real find. Nice car Connie, makes me want another Coupe (4wd this time).
  18. It could mean that your radiator is clogged. Feel the bottom of it when your running hot, if its cold, thats your problem.
  19. First of all, you need to clean all the electrical connections, even to the alternator. The wire to the tranny could be for a temp sensor (AT?). The other wire below the coil is for the RFI and isnt needed at this time (radio frequency interupter, static blocker). Mainly clean all the charging terminals and the grounds and the secondary ignition system (coil, etc)
  20. Well, thats up to you. Dont wait to long to do it, you may forget. Almost all the plugs in there will only go one way, to one plug. Just take your time and try not to get frustrated.
  21. I'll see what I can do Corky, but the wife is in the hospital again :-\
  22. Well, whats the name of the Shop? Or is that the name of it?
  23. The only thing unique about the XT6 system (besides it being electric) is that you must use the Subaru fluid designed for it. And its a very simple set up. A electric motor getting a signal from a magnet on the steering column, turns the pump on and off. Thats it. Well, that might be a little over simplified, but thats the jist of it.
  24. Unfortunatly, I have a funeral to go to that day :-\
