  1. How about a roller, like a barn door? I know you can still get the slides for those. That way it wont take up room like a swing out.
  2. Austin, I hate to see you go, but I know you'll be back We need to have another Evans Crk Run before you leave.
  3. I know some have a different opinion, but I believe theres only one color for a XT (or any car for that matter). Black
  4. Make sure all the tire sizes are the same, Fulltime 4WD does not like different tires sizes at all. It certainly sounds like a broken T-Belt, take the covers off and have a look. Besides that, its just the normal EA82 type stuff you need to deal with. Oil pump, timing belts, serpentine belt, alternator. Make sure all the hoses are in good shape, etc. Good score
  5. Ditto that. Look on Ebay for deals on manuals.
  6. Hey! Dont forget to take lots of PICS!
  7. Your in a area where theres probably a dozen Soobs like that. Your also pretty close to a few board members (me for instance), might check the members list.
  8. If it was 4WD, it could be worth $500. Turbo heads in good shape are getting hard to find. And considering its a AT (I know your partial to them) and 2WD, I would only say $300.
  9. Keep an eye on Ebay, thats where I got mine.
  10. Do you have ABS on your car? Tire size could affect the functioning of this. This happended on my 92 Mazda truck when I put oversize tires on, it became non functional. Might want to talk to a Subaru mech some more about this.
  11. Look up Ross, he's in your Hemisphere Our cost of living is quite different from yours, not to mention the dollar. One in that condition, here, would fetch up $1500. Maybe more, maybe less.
  12. The engine is a EA81. It has a stamp on the left side of the block down by the bottom of the disty.
  13. I was at a Pap today where there was a XT6 with a rad still in it. I was getting ready to remove it after I got the fans and stuff off and I looked down at the bottom. Where both fans had been the cooling fins were seperating from the rods and falling out. I didnt even remove it the rest of the way
  14. Good job guys! Wish I could have been there to help :-\ Corky, that looks more than a 4/12 pitch :-p And hey, the shingles match
  15. From your description of the car now, I would say jump on it before its gone! $400 is an acceptable price for one in this condition. Hopefully the problem is obvious when you get it home, sometimes XT6's can be a bear to troubleshoot
  16. Connie, I just sent your box of goodies off - you better keep that Coupe! Dont worry about the $ right now, send it when you can. And I'll see what I can find in the local PAP for a water pump. Hang in there babe
  17. Your right Paul, this chapter has closed. But another is just starting. I had a friend die while diving, on my anniversery, May 6th(no, I wasnt with him - his wife was). I went to the funeral a week ago Sat and had to go alone, my wife is in a Nursing Home right now. So, your not alone Bro. It seems ike the older we get, the more we have to deal with(death, etc). But we have to move on and make the best of what we have. I hope to make it to the East Coast someday, and I want to see the "Reformed Subaru Church". Take care bud.
  18. The Brat stuff should fit a Gen 2 but dont take my word 100%. The XT6, well if they dont know the condition of it I wonder why their asking $500? If its got a blown engine (check for a bad HG or Timing Belt), I would say less - maybe $300. In your parts its going to be hard to find parts for it. Altho you have all the goodies there for the 5 lug swap Add up all the parts at their cost if you were to pull all the parts, and then what they would take for the whole car and go from there. A salvage title is ok.
  19. Heck no, those arent standard I wonder what they came out of, it looks like theres controls on the side for elec adj even. Might not look to bad once its cleaned up
  20. The seats are different, but being a non Brat owner, someone else will have to clarify on the dynamics of the seat
  21. That would be a "Male Chauvinist Pig". I dont think theres any around here
  22. Hey Pat, I know your Brat Buddies would just love to give you all these goodies, but you still need to pay for shipping. I have alot of tan interior stuff, unfortunatly the dash I had spent time outdoors, but lots of other stuff that doesnt need to be shipped. And you know what my prices are like
  23. I know of someone local that has a black Brat, I PM'd him once but he never got back to me. Dont know if its still 4 sale or not. I might be interested in a T-Brat
  24. Its a little tough to diagnose car sounds over the computer :-p I would say jack up all 4 tires (safely) and run the car thru the gears and see if it makes the same noises. I've heard front hubs that were stripped out make sounds lke this, but the tire wont move if thats the case. If you had a issue with the driveshaft scraping, I would be looking more into that. Also on how much you tweeked the linkage, it could cause gears to no match. Btw, what flywheel and clutch did you use? Are the bell housing and tranny mated together tightly?
