Stupid Auto Parts Stores.
Turbone replied to TheSubaruJunkie's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I think the problem is directly related to the number of Soobs in your area. If there isnt that many around, they have nobody coming in to buy parts. Therefore nobody in the store knows sqaut about the cars. I havent had any problems when I go to a store that handles a large variety of autos. I stay away from Smucks and Autozoned, they are only good for buying oil and accessories. Napa by far is one of the better chain stores, altho a little pricier than most. -
I saw the car a month ago over at XT6.net. The owner has done a great job on the car considering what kind of shape it was in when he got it.

Might need to clarify if its a 3 door or a 4 door. They each have different spoilers.

That would be Qman. Good score, can I have your old one?

Got to come get em...................

Look at the bid history, will be interesting to see who gets it. Andy, the high bidder is in your area, we know who the other one is

84 Sportswagon Wire Diagram
Turbone replied to 1984subaru's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Sportwagon.......is that a Turbo? The wiring diagram in the FSM is 3 or 4 pages, each one for a different model. -
With all the chatter on the I-5 corridor, its going to be hard to find a channel that can be used exclusively. Most of the lower channels are long distance bounces and the 10-26 channels are local, mostly. Maybe the upper 20's might work?

As far as I know, its never been done. The only way to do a mod is with a remote pump. Dont think it would do any good.

Water Pump and BIG Thank You

Ah gee :-p Its been a pleasure, I know how much the car means to you. -
I've never heard of a wiring harness (Subaru) doing this. Did you mod it or tap into it for any reason?

Turbone replied to SuBrat84's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Have you checked the T-Belts yet? I wouldnt go much further after doing all the filters without checking them. -
Hey, wheres the window(s)? Sure looks dark in there  Is that vinyl siding or wood? Looks good Corky.

How about a roller, like a barn door? I know you can still get the slides for those. That way it wont take up room like a swing out.

paint ideas for Hass's XT (Dave)
Turbone replied to Ratty2Austin's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I know some have a different opinion, but I believe theres only one color for a XT (or any car for that matter). Black -

Make sure all the tire sizes are the same, Fulltime 4WD does not like different tires sizes at all. It certainly sounds like a broken T-Belt, take the covers off and have a look. Besides that, its just the normal EA82 type stuff you need to deal with. Oil pump, timing belts, serpentine belt, alternator. Make sure all the hoses are in good shape, etc. Good score -
Ditto that. Look on Ebay for deals on manuals.
