  1. I guess if it was easy for the everyone to do thier own maintenance, you wouldnt have a job, would you?
  2. First & second question. The engines are the same for the RX and GL-10. They came with different trannies. The RX has Fulltime 4wd with D/R and center diff lock (there is a AT version). The GL-10 sedan has the single range tranny. Some GL-10's came with a LSD diff, the RX has it stock. The D/R selector is manual, some say this is the tranny for better launches. The pushbutton single range is prefered for the street (not racing). I dont have the ratios at the moment (I'm eating), maybe someones else can post them. The diff lock does just that, its to lock the center diff to make the power ratio to front and back the same.
  3. Let me know if you head down south a ways (around Qmans turf).
  4. That could be me also. Have to see what the Wife wants to do. I'll PM you my cell #.
  5. Not everything will swap over. The 82 is a little different. The tail lights, grill (has the 3rd eye) and I know theres a few other items I cant recall right now. Can a Mod move this to the Old Gen Forum, please?
  6. My car's center of gravity is so low its like riding on rails. To bad I didnt get to show it off on Sunday, the wife wasnt liking the twisties and dips :-\ The rear was a little heavy also with my 2 boys. Qman was behind me for a bit, he said it looked like my diff was almost scraping the ground a few times
  7. Yes, the one on the left is mine. It has 2wd struts on the front and modified 2wd shocks on the rear. The drive was great(Altho I couldnt drive like Qman and MrRadon) and the BBQ at 6400ft was great too. I really miss the altitude  I lived and worked at 7300ft for 14yrs.
  8. See ya when you guys get here, be safe all
  9. Did the problems start with the o2 sensor change, or was it running like crap before that?
  10. I would first go back to the tire store to make sure they dont have it. If they dont, I would retrace the route you took on the way back and look for it. That centercap is going to be hard to find.
  11. I had this feeling................. Welcome back Zap
  12. The year has nothing to do with taking it to a shop and having the axles done. This is a job done by a average Joe mechanic. On the other hand, a turbo wagon for that price seems a little suspisious to me. Check the oil and water and make sure they arent mixed. Ask about how the car was running for the owner to determine the turbo was/is bad also. If it blows white oil/smoke out the tail pipe, the seal is gone on the turbo. Bearings arent normally changed when doing axles, they will last for a real long time, unless the seal is bad and water/dirt gets in there contaminating the bearing. Good luck on it, to bad you werent closer to this side.
  13. Huh, I've been on dial up since the 80's. I wouldnt know how to handle DSL
  14. You betcha! Does anyone know the Groundskeeper?
  15. You read my mind Mike! Cant use the name, but she has the spirit She just needs a nickname............. Q2?
  16. Our fridges are big and mostly white. A white wagon is refered to as a fridge.
  17. Hmmm, what did we all do before we had the Net? Qman had a interesting comment the other day when the Board was down. "Lots of work getting done around here today"
  18. I have a used one I will sell you for $30
  19. Havent found any yet that were different.
  20. I suspect your crank pulley. It happened to me, took me a while to figure it out. With the hood up, rev the engine and watch the pulley to see if it spins at the right RPM's.
  21. He brought it over to my place today. Man, what a sweet Soob Lots of detailing done to it, lots of suspension goodies. Dad is liking Imps more and more
  22. Haha, thats funny. Not to many Soob owners I know have a wad of c-notes to flash around. Maybe a c-note wrapped around a bunch of 1's:lol: Btw, anyone leaving late Sat morning from the SeaTac area? Thats about as early as I can get going
