  1. I had to go out and get a XT6 to replace my T-Coupe when I sold it. On the fun scale, thats the only thing that comes close
  2. No deal is set in concrete until money has changed hands. You could have gave him $100 to hold it for you and he would have been obligated to do so. The guy that bought the car from under you obviously had cash, and more of it. I hate to say it, but money talks. And who's to say that the guy that bought the car even knew you wanted it?
  3. I havent seen any people with Imp's and WRX's ice racing either I'm pretty sure you will need to do a 5 lug swap if you want to use the struts and stuff from a Impreza.
  4. SJ, Perris is in SoCal about 60mi inland from the ocean. Pretty close to Riverside.
  5. Well, now we have a problem. Or should I say Sheppie does. Can we ever take him seriously again? But I'm glad you have a sense of humor, its needed quite often here
  6. I knew you would understand. I used to be able to look down and see the lake on a clear day. I lived in Lake Arrowhead, and I have a sister in Corona. Got lots of good 4xing spots around there.
  7. Ok, now go jump in the Lake (Elsinore)
  8. I guess I need to slow my reading down You said you put a meter on the battery and it had only 11.5v. You need to put the meter on the alternator and find out what the output is from it. This will tell you if the alt is charging the battery with the correct voltage. As stated before, it should be in the 13/14v range. It sounds like the battery is carrying most of the load and when you turn on accessories it cant supply enough power to them. Dont always trust the parts stores when they test your stuff, take it to another shop. Maybe a alt rebuilder.
  9. Clean all the grounds, engine bay and under the dash.
  10. Yes, you will need to use the EA82 flywheel and pressure plate also. But kiss your tranny byebye. I'm not saying it couldnt handle it(well, maybe just a little), but your 4spd is a older tranny with (probably) lots of miles on it. And with the turbo in it, its just going to fry clutches. Not to mention putting a EA82T in a EA81 is a ryoal PITA to boot. Do you have any idea of what it takes to do this conversion? Oh, and welcome to the Board
  11. If its a Gen2 it should be in front of the right rear wheel. Arc, that was just plain lame :-\
  12. Give the engine a bath and see if you can pin down the location better. Havent seen to many disty o-ring leaks, it might be the valve cover.
  13. I wouldnt put a block lift on any rusty car. Asking for trouble there. But a set of 14" or 15" Pugs with some swampers on them, then you will have some lift.
  14. Its a cheap part to replace (just dont buy an Accel), and will certainly improve runability. If it still acts up then the disty is going, but this usually goes out completely-not off and on. Thanks NW
  15. Replace the coil. Trust me on this one.
  16. Let us know how it "re-acts" to this mod. Interested in how well it handles on street and track.
  17. Check the oil to see if theres coolant in it. If not, I think its just condensation. Give it a oil change and new plugs and see how it runs for a while ( a few hours). Did you drive it and park it in the garage when you moved?
  18. Its a clone, except for the tranny. What other goodies are on it?
  19. This is normal for a blown HG. If left like this for a while it will corrode several of the bolts. Just make sure you clean the up real good and run one in all the holes to clean them out. Use some neversieze on the bolts when you install the heads.
  20. Yup, believe it or not, thats what they call it. Remove it and take it to the parts store, they should be able to match it. I bought one at the stealership, and it cost big $$$$$
  21. What I meant was, that Corky's original question was- When the pics were of the rear brakes .
  22. Change the oil and run the engine for a short time. See if theres coolant in the oil again.
