  1. But its just not feasable to hack up your suspension if its for a EA81.
  2. The rad has to be for an auto and from a EA81. A 2 row would be nice if your going to buy new. Sorry to hear about the T-Coupe Glad your kid is ok. Just thought about it for a sec. You can use any EA81 rad, you will have to install a remote tranny cooler tho. Which really isnt a bad idea. Mine had one.
  3. Check all the hoses and lines, time will dry out the rubber. It night be a good idea to change the timing belts, even tho they get changed at 60K, it has been sitting for quite a while. Make sure nothing made a home in the heater ducts, nothing smells worse than mouse droppings. Welcome to the board, and congrats on the car. Thats got to be a first around here, 13,000mi, wow
  4. If it overheated enough, it could have fried the main bearings.
  5. It sounds like the alternator is bad, sometimes the testers arent used correctly(I never trust Schucks). I would replace it with a rebuilt or new(if you can afford new). Edit, John, you got me all screwed up! I read the post agian and thought- Now where did my reply go? And I reposted too You can leave the rad in, just remove the fan and stuff in the way. Belt covers will have to come off unfortunatly.
  6. Me thinks Shucks dont know how to test a alternator. For sure its bad, and needs to be replaced.
  7. You need a spring compressor to remove the shock. Your better off getting a new set of coilover shocks. Or find another set in the JY.
  8. Bummer for me But I'll get over it. Give him my name when he wants to get rid of it. But thats a nice hatch
  9. Sent you a email yesterday about it, I guess you didnt get it? But if didnt go thru heres what I got, RX with 5spd D/R and difflock both shafts, cup to cup-55 1/4in The XT6 with FT 4EAT, same measurements-50 1/2in
  10. How my supposed to sleep tonight now? Should be sweet dreams, I hope Cant wait to see the stuff on the car.
  11. You didnt mention the mileage on the belt that broke. Maybe if you had covers on them, it might not have :-\
  12. Yes, welcome to the USMB And did you hack the lid of your wagon?
  13. I had to go out and get a XT6 to replace my T-Coupe when I sold it. On the fun scale, thats the only thing that comes close
  14. No deal is set in concrete until money has changed hands. You could have gave him $100 to hold it for you and he would have been obligated to do so. The guy that bought the car from under you obviously had cash, and more of it. I hate to say it, but money talks. And who's to say that the guy that bought the car even knew you wanted it?
  15. I havent seen any people with Imp's and WRX's ice racing either I'm pretty sure you will need to do a 5 lug swap if you want to use the struts and stuff from a Impreza.
  16. SJ, Perris is in SoCal about 60mi inland from the ocean. Pretty close to Riverside.
  17. Well, now we have a problem. Or should I say Sheppie does. Can we ever take him seriously again? But I'm glad you have a sense of humor, its needed quite often here
  18. I knew you would understand. I used to be able to look down and see the lake on a clear day. I lived in Lake Arrowhead, and I have a sister in Corona. Got lots of good 4xing spots around there.
  19. I guess I need to slow my reading down You said you put a meter on the battery and it had only 11.5v. You need to put the meter on the alternator and find out what the output is from it. This will tell you if the alt is charging the battery with the correct voltage. As stated before, it should be in the 13/14v range. It sounds like the battery is carrying most of the load and when you turn on accessories it cant supply enough power to them. Dont always trust the parts stores when they test your stuff, take it to another shop. Maybe a alt rebuilder.
  20. Clean all the grounds, engine bay and under the dash.
