  1. Probably be a while before I can make it again :-\
  2. I dont know why you didnt quote the whole line, it included labor. And the total isnt all that bad really. Theres a micro switch on the drivers side heater box, just in front of the gas peddle. When you push the dash controls it moves the flapper and triggers the switch (info provided by member euligeous).
  3. The nut on top the ball joint wont come off? Or you cant get the ball joint off the hub fitting? I usually go the caveman method and give the hub casing a couple of whacks where the ball joint fits in. If the ball joint spins while trying to remove the nut, try tapping the bottom up so the ball joint seats deeper.
  4. Ridiculous comment.......T-Top is NOT a trademark of GM, lots of car manufacturers have used the term on models with them. Subaru, being manufactured by FHI in Japan when the Brat was made, chose to call them something different. People in the States call them T-Tops because they resemble units made by American car makers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-top I would use the stuff T'subaru mentioned. I've used it before and its easy to apply and removal is the same. It might still be available at the chain stores.
  5. It was one of those rare, sunny and warm evenings where we were at. Great meeting you guys, lets do it again sometime.
  6. I had a alt from a SVX on my RX for about a month. If you dont wire it right, you will fry fusible links. I'm still having problems with mine after the swap, my black link dies after about 2mo (yes, its wired correctly). I'm currently tossing around the idea of using the EJ breaker/relay box.
  7. This is A LOT more info than in your first post. Especially this part that you deleted(?) Now I think I agree with Quidam......its toast. Unless you find something when you check the drivetrain parts.
  8. I agree with tundrabrat. This sounds more like something is hitting the flywheel.
  9. We're talking EA81 here :-\ Front struts are just a little bit different. I decided to look at the 82 FSM and the 89 parts catalog, comparing the gen and gen 3 struts. The spring perches look close to the same (sans 4wd) but I think the sleeves will only work if they can fit over the strut cylinder. You will also need to get a idea of how long a spring will be needed. I have 8in springs on my RX (Imp struts).
  10. It doesnt matter how many post you have or how long you have been here. If you dont heed the warnings and then post something negative towards the mods, then you get to sit in the corner for a while. When he has had time to think about his attitude, I'll unlock this thread.

  12. May take a day or so to get answers here, have you tried legacycentral yet?
  13. You know, all you have to do is ask me to come take a look at it (which I plan on doing soon anyways). Damn kids
  14. Not much money in parting out a older Legacy, especially in the PNW. Probably some tweakers or joy riders. It may get dumped in a few days or a week not far from where it was stolen.
  15. Perform a thorough tune up on it. Plugs, fuel filter, etc.
