1986 Subaru Leone "GL-10" TURBO
Turbone replied to Nico's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Its a 86, with the mirrors mounted on the window frame. A beautiful example of mid 80's Subaru. Dont see to many of these that arent 4wd, but it should move a little quicker being fwd (and better gas mileage). -

Excellent first post, great write up -
Look at the oil pump, theres a couple of extra plugs in it. Just remove one and tap it to SAE and use a 1/4in brass fitting.

He says he's willing to separate, see what he wants without the trans. -

Has the exhaust ever been checked on this? Like the downpipe (catalytic converter) and there may also be a mid pipe cat. You can disconnect the DP from the turbo and run it, it wont be too loud. This should tell you if the cats are plugged. -

VB, I suggest you do some research in the Retrofit Forum. Then ask questions. -

I seriously doubt it will have enough flow. $20 for the IC, plus shipping.

-
Well, all I said it was a good idea. I'll be sure to not make a exact copy tho if I decide to make some.

has anyone done the hid conversion on gen 2?
Turbone replied to 85wagon's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
Everything was there. I had 2 sockets/wires for the 2 lights. And whatever bulb I use for the hi beams should plug in to existing stuff. I didnt use the sockets/wires provided, my originals plugged into the H4 bulbs. But it isnt correct, the hi beams come on when I turn the lights on. Need to work that out today. Got the lows/highs fixed. Looked at the other lenses and you were right Briggs, you cut the wires for the halos. Not a big deal. -

1989 Subaru XT? or is it?
Turbone replied to Coldfusion868's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
This is a spyder intake. Heres the link to the FSM on subaruxt.com. You need to pick which section you want to read. http://www.numbchuxconversions.com/Files/FSMs/ -
Never heard of them and you didnt post the price.
-
Probably, but its awfully expensive. I would try calling a Subaru shops to see if the ones above will work or not. PIA Smart Service AWD Auto Outback Automotive These are all in the Puget Sound area.
-
Your better off going EJ, lots of work to make the ER fit. Lot more benefits from going EJ also. Aftermarket support, etc. I would get all the running gear from the 6 for sure, but thats it.
-
It probably just needs re-jetting. Might be able to find out the right jets from Redline.
