  1. Ho Ho Ho; hooked up the tach today. Thanks to Gloyale and all of you for helping me out.
  2. Thanks for the inputs.... QMAN, your link is broken.
  3. Lots of jibber-jabber; not a lot of pictures! How are you plumbing the snorkel into your air filter; EJ22?
  4. I want to build a snorkel for my wagon and looking for ideas. Please post pics of snorkel and under hood setup if possible. Also note materials used. Thanks.
  5. Good to know. My lift/swap project should be done within a few days; just need to wrap up some electrical connections. Smogged and tagged this week:banana:
  6. Curious to know why you modified the gas pedal. I used stock ea81 pedal and accelerator cable and it seems to work fine. Anything I should know? here's my modified gas pedal . I took an ea82 pedal and a ea82 throttle cable(SPFI) . The ea81 pedal is very close so I cut the ea82 end off and welded it on the ea81 pedal.
  7. Where do you park on the hill? I'd like to check out your rig when I am up there.
  8. Whose wagon is this? Very nice. Looks like a lot of fun up there.
  9. I think this is by far the best process write up on the EA82/EJ22 swap. Definitely addresses many of the little obstacles that many will run into, with pics. A++++++ Any chance that this can be a sticky?
  10. My cousin drove a 87 XT from CA to PA with both front CV boots torn/ripped. And that was after a day on the beach. True story. You can go a long time with torn boots.
  11. Every wagon I have owned has had dirt build up in lower front fenders, even with the plastic shields. First thing I do when I get a new wagon is clean behind the fender and pray that there is steel between the mud and paint.
  12. Backing up did not good. I jacked up drivers side; removed drive shaft and she shifted like butter..... like butter!
  13. In process of lift/ejswap/5speed DR swap into 84 wagon. Engine and transmission are in and 5 speed works. I am stuck in 4wd and can't get out!!!!! I have tried pulling, prying, disconnecting selector and disengaging by hand and nothing. Suggestions?
  14. How are you connecting the tachometer in the EA81 to EJ22 swap? Do I need an aftermarket tach? Thanks. BTW: swap passed emissions today!
  15. I graduated from Seneca Valley. Bought my first Subaru (1984 GL wagon) from some locals in Zelienople. Drove that car to CA and have only owned Subaru's since. Go Steelers
  16. Hey Poop, Funny how we were both thinking about the ratfink subaru hybrid. My 2 cents on the drawing is: 1) lose the flames 2) straighten out the front wheels c) make the wheels offroad/swampers, not racing slicks Looks real good,
  17. I would go to a marine canvas shop. They make custom soft toppers all day long for boats. They can put in windows, zippers, vents, snaps, etc.
  18. Maybe you didn't connect the right wire in your harness:lol:
  19. EJ 22 into an EA81 wagon. 1) Are you guys putting the new fuel pump where the old one went? (on the ea81, by the gas tank) 2) Is the pitch stopper necessary?
  20. You will find that EJ22 swap owners tend to be stronger than average men and PS is not necessary. Once you do the swap you will notice that you will be stronger, better looking and taller.
  21. You should send the picture of your mother to Drive magazine, they like to publish that type of thing.
