  1. I don't live around there but what type of sled do you ride?I am always interested in snowmachines also.
  2. I don't see why it wouldn't fit just make sure it doesn't get too close to the brake rotor and see if the bolt pattern is the same and you should be set.
  3. I thought it would be kinda cool to have a RHD brat would definately be different than ones in the states.Anyone in the US have one.Would be cool to find one.(Btw I am just thinking outloud)
  4. Do you have to do anything else to get it rally ready?Like put in a roll cage or fire ext.,or strip interior? What class do you compete in?Also rally action shots would be great.
  5. That was one nice leone! I really like the legacy.I hear those legs are very stable when sideways. That would be lots of fun!
  6. If there is anyway possible you could jack it up on a lift and pressure wash the under side that would be a good start to tell where it's coming from.
  7. I would love to know where to get the stuff to do the conversion.I would love to do this to an old sube and possibly my jetta.
  8. I have seen alot of people use subies for this sort of thing especially in places where there is alot of snow. When I was growing up in Alaska there were quite a bit of people on the mail route and paper route that used good ol' subes for this. Especially places where a plow may not have gone to yet.
  9. Thats a really cool idea. The telescoping drive shaft would be cool.Wonder how hard it would be to put a suby engine in a sammy?May not be worth it though.
  10. Ya it's old skool but still cool.I wouldn't mind getting one if I built a hatch rally car.
  11. I like the rx but that would be my choice.I have heard that the xt6 is great.I think they are just a little harder to find parts for.If you don't choose the rx let me know I think my brother may be interested. He is in anchor town right now.
  12. Ya those filters needed changing. They look like coffee went through them.Well I imagine those were original so that is to be expected.Your trailing arm got sent out yesterday so hopefully you will see it wednesday.I really think that brat is beautiful and even more so when it gets done.I think white powdercoated aluminum pugs and a white roll bar and push bumper on it would look great.Keep the pictures coming.
  13. Nice rockin' Jibs. What tires were you running on that run?Looks crazy with that rock face right next to you!Nice pic.
  14. Nice job Rick and Jeff.I am glad you got a pic of your grabber green diff.Your brat looks awsome in those pics.Still need to get you some RX springs for up front.Nice pics.
  15. I for one love the ea81 engine. You can get pretty good power out of them for what they are but they won't compare with a ej22(legacy motor).A good place to start is put a weber carb on it.Larger exhaust.
  16. I have to say a big Thank you to Rick(TurboXT) for helping me out at the yard today with the trailing arm for McBrat and getting the nice little intercooler off the audi.Good time.Good junkin' buddies are hard to find!
  17. Man I really love the pics of your motor. How much boost you planning on cranking into it after its broken in?Looks like it will run like a top.I am currently getting parts for my ea81 motor I a piecing together.Gives me some inspiration.I am also curious to see what type of special socket you are refering to.
  18. I got your trailing arm today.Do you want me to leave the stub axle in the trailing arm? I got some help from Turboxt and Jeffast.I will send it to you on monday. -Jerry
  19. Nice score.I saw rebuild kits on ebay for those carbs. Also same with adapter plates or get one from redline.
  20. Fiberglass or that strand stuff called kitty hair. You could also weld in a piece of metal there also.
  21. I really like the black brat also. You should call her Black Betty!
  22. I recently got some Ea81 heads off of an 87 brat in the JY.I have the heads disassembled to do some porting on them. The question I have is: When is it a good idea to change the valve guides out for new ones? The brat I got these heads off of had 223,000miles.I am going to replace the seals so I thought maybe it would be a good idea to replace the guides. Also does anyone know why there is only the seals on the V guides on the intake valves? That also had me wondering. Thanks in advance.
  23. Want to get rid of your brat?I am interested.
  24. I was wondering if anyone has converted over their older sube to DOT 5?I would like to know what you are supposed to use to clean out the old system.I realize that DOT 3 and DOT 5 shouldn't be mixed.Anyone know of what type of flushing agent to use? Also would it be benificial? Some of my friends in the BMW/VW world change theirs over and claim to have better braking.Anyone have thoughts on this?
