  1. Seems like a few others that have had a problem with similar symptoms as yours have had to replace the coolant temp sensors.Others that have delt with this directly can tell you the specifics.
  2. Yes his are 1 piece.I just went and looked at his lift kit.
  3. Now I need to get your pugs dismounted for you.Let me know when you have time and the tire shop said they will do it for me for free. Then we can clean them up and get them ready for your new walterrains.
  4. BEEFCAKE! BEEFCAKE! That thing is friggin sweet. I can apreciate the amount of work and time and thought going into a project like that! Very very nice!
  5. I am so happy you got it! I really want to help put it in.Just let me know time and place. If ya want we could install it at where I work.Nice heated garage.I really want to help on the install.I have been waiting to see your lift for a couple months so I can't wait!
  6. Nice job pulling that engine through the snow.I know for a fact fairbanks gets friggin frigid.Lots colder than soldotna from my experience.Very sweet suby's keep on going.
  7. Very nice pictures.I like that you took the time to take pictures of the tear down as well.I really like it.Thanks for posting them.
  8. Duct tape, JB weld(ya never know),extra t-stat,Plenty O tools, stuff listed before like antifreeze and oil. Some wire for electrical stuff and connectors, small cigarette lighter powered air pump, some tire plugs and tools.I am sure there is stuff I am forgetting.
  9. I know its kinda sad but I owned a 94 escort wagon just like that.Same color and everything.
  10. As far as I know I have heard that the headgasket issue like on 2.5's in the past is no longer an issue.I believe it is fixed. Just curious but why the rs and not a wrx or sti?
  11. I am very interested as well. Can you imagine a small turbocharged rally car! would be so much fun. This has been something on my "it would be fun to do" list for a while now.I as well would love to strip one and turbo it.I would like to see what you had to do to mount the turbo and also what kind of boost will you be running?
  12. That's alot of people.I need to meet more people off of the board. So far only 3 for me: TurboXT Jeffast123 Cutie-Ru I would love to meet alot more of you.
  13. Cable is out of adjustment most likely.I never worked on a loyale so I don't want to give you the wrong info as to how to adjust it.
  14. Through the OBDII port.usually is a little black connector looking thing.May have a cap over it.Need to have a code reader though.See if you could take it to a shop and have them scan it for you. Some may do it for free.
  15. I have looked at doing this before as well.I have heard that it is really kind of tough to do.I don't have much to say about it cause I havn't had the experience with it.
  16. I think it's a good idea for the roll cage. The only thing is if you want to compete in a rally competition you will need to check the rules as to the wall thickness of the tubing and the diameter and the grade steel that you will need to use.
  17. I would recomend just putting a msd blaster coil in there.Better spark and cheaper than stock.Usually cost around $50.I am not sure about your resistor question though.
  18. Yes that is the one that I am refering to.I guess I should be a little more specific.
  19. I will definately let you know how it goes with the hatch.I really want to see PC sometime.I was wondering what could make your oil pump crap out like that? Seems fine one minute and then pow TOD! Was the oil pressure really high or really low before it started TOD?Good luck.
  20. I would like to know if someone knows how important that little runner is on the intake side of the ea81 and ea82 heads.I have taken that out when porting a ea81 engine that I had in a hatch I used to own, and it ran like a monster.I just wondered how much that would decrease my port efficiency if at all.I just thought I would see if anyone has experience with that. Also I have no way of testing it as I don't have a flow bench to test it on.But my overall thought is that the effiency shouldn't be hurt that much as there is a great increase in volume of air with making the ports larger.Someone let me know what you think. Thanks for reading my post.
  21. Not sure Skip. I know for sure that the ea71&81 are the same but not sure about the 82.Also not sure if they are the same temp thermostat.
  22. Thanks for the link to those break down diagrams.Makes things more simple with something to look at.Again thanks for the help.
  23. Well last night I went to the junkyard and I found a high center consol with the arm rest and the power window controls out of an 84 GL wagon. It's dark blue and in very good shape. Then today I went to another yard and pulled a spider intake off of a N/A XT ea82.Both things that I don't really need but couldn't pass up.I am sure there are many others like me that just pull things they don't need just cause you can't pass it up.
  24. Sounds like a pretty cool idea.Tie in a roll cage like that would be nice.I would say go for it if you have the time.
