  1. I would have but, following the instructions left it at 20 ft pounds, and that doesn't sound right.
  2. I'm getting it put together slowly and I'm hoping that it will be a great runner. I will have more photos soon.
  3. Hey, Rebuilding my EJ22t and Was wondering if torquing the Heads to 60 Foot pounds, yes I read the instructions from the FSM but I didn't put new head bolts on it... So I just torqued it down the best I could. should I go a little tighter? everything is coming along nicely... hopefully I will have this thing done soon. Zach

  6. Ok, so I acquired this beast, from STIwolf, I have since learned Do not keep Gas cans in the Tailgate. and yes I have pictures, STIwolf and I both lost some hair trying to put it out... Things I know SPFI Block w/Weber Carb 3 inch Rear Lift. 2 inch Front (correct me if I'm wrong.) 30 inch Tires 5 speed Dual Range (with loose Linkage:-\ stuck on the side of the road thinking I needed a new transmission.) Lincoln Locked Rear With a broken Axle Stub. Battery Drain (Overnight Drain) Things I've done. Oil pump (TOD is GONE!!) Thermostat and Heater hose (bad Leak) New Battery. Timed it to get rid of pinging. Was at 30 degrees. Cleaned up a little of the fire damage. What I want to do, Replace Drivers side Tail light and wiring harness 3.9 LSD! Smaller Tires, Perhaps some 27's on some pugs. New Axles. with lifetime warranties... Fix the Electrical Drain. Upgrade the Alternator to GM one Wire. Lights. Roof Rack With Spare tire mount. Carpet and insulation out. (rhino line the interior:grin:) New Hatch Struts. Seal off where T-Roy cut the fenders out... (I have an Idea) Brush Guard...
  7. Heat seems to be there, now... not as warm as I want it to be... but its there. Timing seems nice.. I was cruising in 3rd on the freeway at 3500rpm, doing about 55 tonight on the way home... I want to get the Fan to Switch on and off like it is supposed too. (I'm anal about that.) I can switch Jump it when I go 4wheeling to keep it on, but for DD duty I would just like to get this started... But I'm gonna Start a new thread with how I got it, what I've done, and parts and stuff that I need for it...
  8. I also want this thing called heat in the cabin
  9. I might be in..... Depends on what I get done on her
  10. Timing Was off the Scale, I couldn't even see the marks, brought it back down and its much better now... I just have to get the fan to shut off now...
  11. Hm.... CTS's actually go bad? cause that one was new...
  12. Both things I'm gonna check What should the timing be at? and how do I check it, its a double vacuum advance?
  13. Ok, So I got this Wagon, Its a lifted beast. Ugly as hell, and when I got it the TOD was so bad I couldn't hear it but now That I fixed the TOD, I'm noticing Pinging. and a lack of power some times.. but seems to idle just fine, (sometimes its a little low.) Any Ideas? Also its not getting up to temp.. But I think that's because the thermostat, and or the leak in the lines, my next trip is to get new hoses, And stuff. Zach
  14. Its weird... I'm thinking it might be the alternator... cause its fluctuates a lot- from 12.5 to 14.5 depending on how it feels... I'm gonna replace it and Clean up the connections... Least I got the TOD to go away (mostly) New/Used oil pump. I'm gonna clean up all the terminals, And Clip and pull replace the alternator connections.
  15. Ok, I have my wagon and its draining Batteries over night? I'm not sure where to start... any one got EA82 FSM at least the Electrical system--- Its an 85 that has been pretty much gutted. Zach
  16. I got my Wagon- I'll be there!! and hopefully I will be a 1000 poster by then..
  17. The Gl's even in the states were Considered Leone's by Subaru (I was calling SOA about some Warranty work that had not been done to my car.. (my 81 wagon,) and the guy was like your seriously calling me about an '81 Leone?
  18. Not Necessarily, you have to remember that dealerships only know what you tell them. If you have an Aftermarket alarm installed tell them. When, Or IF I buy a New car, I will have it serviced at the Dealership for everything. Because I have seen what the Dealership will do for you if you are a good customer. this was at the Kia Dealership I worked for, we had two one in Oregon and one in Seattle, a customer had his car towed in at 120K with a seized engine. After researching a little bit we found that He had done every single service with the Dealership in Oregon. We Asked KIA to replace the engine under warranty and they did it. Mechanics and Dealers can be scary if you don't have a history with them. ZM
