August 3, 201312 yr From what I've gathered, these taillights are rare worldwide. Sure, maybe the majority of EA82s might have them in other countries. However, in other countries, EA82s are rare. Finding a parts car in other countries is even harder. So I think I got lucky getting these taillights. Too bad Subaru never put fender mirrors on EA82 bodies (as far as I know). I know EA81s in other countries came with fender mirrors. All Subaru Omegas (the Loyale in the US, the post 89 L series) came with the single reverse taillights in NZ. The Leones had the twin reverse. I prefer the twin myself, looks more balanced. But each to their own. Edited August 3, 201312 yr by KiwiGL
August 5, 201312 yr Finished up my fi swap, here are a couple of pics! Edited August 5, 201312 yr by 1982gl4

August 5, 201312 yr Looks Awesome! ... Very Clean Swap indeed. I'll Like to Know how is it Performing now. Kind Regards. Thanks! It's running pretty well. I still need to time it correctly, and put in a couple of resistors to make the check engine light stay off. Other than that, it seems to have a bit more power than it did even with a weber, and it seems to rev more freely. It's amazing how smooth it is now too, theres no hesitation of any kind, the only thing is that it doesn't sound as cool as it did with the webber

August 12, 201312 yr I would happily give up the noisy weber for FI if I had the patience to do the swap correctly. The SPFI isn't exactly quiet. It has a roar to it too. Unlike the growl of the weber.
August 18, 201312 yr it is just the ingestion of air...you can silence it with the proper dampeners, but risk losing the velocity of flow that immediately translates into horsepower (even the fractional horsepower we early subaru drivers hoard with wild abandon). Yup... sometimes the noise is directly related to performance... sometimes it is just noise... (Turn up the stereo, the noise will go away)
August 18, 201312 yr I Believe that the Weird painted Wagon was: ► Painted by Someone who Hated it and had Lots of Paints' Leftovers, or ► The owner let a Bunch of Children to have fun with it, painting it in such weird way; or ► It is used by Clowns = Looks like a -cheap- Circus came to Town... No offence intended, but is my own personal opinion: I Don't Like such paint job... Poor Subie... Kind Regards.
August 21, 201312 yr You forgot to factor in the absolute theft resistance that such a paint job offers. You simply cannot hide anywhere in a vehicle like that. Like the VW Golf (Rabbit) Harlequins from the 1990s (?). Officer: "now tell me again...WHAT COLOR WAS IT?" Victim: "here's a picture..." Officer: "...oh..."
