Don't work through the online phone number, go through your local shop. Approximately ~25$ for seal order only from my local Safelite shop. They could only order three from the warehouse at a time, but asked for three.

picked up the gaskets today from Safelite; $26.21. I've already got one reserved to go out next week and I've got one more available.

I haven't made any movement on this project, but the outfit in Australia still sells window seals, IIRC.

A windscreen place over here had no issues getting a new windscreen and windscreen rubber for my brumby three months ago

Pardon me , but you folks with these 80-84’s will eventually need a group purchase. I suggest you contact PRP and ask about the mold from their supplier. Will that mold be destroyed ? 

Seems so tricky about ordering now , it’s only going to get worse.

My point is to notify PRP and/or drop an order for 50 and call it an investment if you don’t get all 50 paid for up front. They’ll sell , trust me.

We had two group buys that I handled for the Gen one’s. They’re all gone. PRP part no. for those is WCR-288 - as I recall.

I suppose that isn't a bad idea Paul.  Any recollection of what that run of 50 cost you at the time (so I can budget for this?)

Best to just call them. Probably run you around $38-45 per. My guess. Whatever it is it’ll be worth it.

That website is just reselling the stock made by Phil's Rotary's, with a healthy mark-up.

Im confused, is the gasket and trim molding different? I keep seing chrome trim molding on eBay.

The molding looks like they are in sections and the gasket is one whole seal. 

@oczuk32 - correct. Chrome strip (plastic) is separate to windscreen rubber.

I would love to have a front windshield gasket. Really, I'd love to have new seals all the way around!

I would as well, my windshield has some rust around it I need to get fixed, and a new gasket will keep it fixed. We rubber on every window would be nice but we can't have everything.

I am a new member here and thought I would give an update on what I've found out about PRP.  I called and talked to them several times about the possibility of making new gaskets.  They said that the company that used to make them for them has gone out of business in the US and they would have to work outside the country to get them made. They said that I would have to commit to a full run (at least 200) and pay for the tooling workup.  It was going to be way too cost prohibitive.  Autoglasswarehouse in Brisbane has some seals but will not ship internationally, I asked them several times.  You can have a company pick them up and ship them, but the quote I got was $160. I may buy 5-10 gaskets and have them shipped to try to bring the price down a bit if others are interested. The windshield gasket alone is about $120.

LMK if anyone has an interest.

My opinion. Go big and get it done right. Make a post on FB and here and anywhere with gen two people. 
 

You’ve got a contact at PRP so that’s good. When we did ours (twice) they said pretty much the same thing. The mold might be gone, etc, and they do come from Thailand where the rubber is plentiful in production. 
 

You’ll end up with at least a couple or so for free. You’re not going to send each one out with payment to the penny. You’ll cover a little for your expenses. Tape, gathering boxes or envelopes, gas, time… you’d be a fool to not cover yourself, right? 
 

They will come. At least enough to cover the order or cover enough that you’re comfortable retaining a larger number but knowing you’ll have a steady market over the coming years. Those you’ll charge a little more for too. 
 

If you take this route I would be SURE you know if PRP will also be stocking these. If so, how many? Think it out and play the ball accordingly. If they’re going to stock 100 then you’d probably rethink keeping a large number for the future. 
 

 

Otherwise what happened to the Route66 Motors guy who had them on eBay ? Here in the USA

You wouldn’t happen to have a link to the tailgate glass replacement rubber seal? 

If someone made the rear fixed glass rubber seals for the MY wagons I reckon they’d make a killing. I’d definitely take one for each side, maybe two if another project comes through.

I haven't found any on eBay here in the USA.  I contacted Phil's in Australia and they don't have them.

Sucks that they went to 200 from our 50pc orders. But that generation has a much larger audience. You’ve got folks in various continents looking for them. 
 

Your place will smell like rubber so be sure you’ve got garage or shed space. Or a very tolerant family/room mates.
