How long have you owned your EA81 / EA82?

Featured Replies

Just courious about how many of you have kept of yours for a while. I'm just over 8 years with my 84.

A year and a half for my XT Turbo, maybe 2 weeks??? for the turbo wagon.

I have a high turnover rate...

my parents bought my 1985 new before I was born - they were living in florida, and my mom did not have a car with A/C while she was pregnant with me - they had a friend who had a subaru and that's what got them interested in it - she went to the 5-speed D/R 4WD from a 1972 Datsun 510 station wagon with a four-on-the-floor

the day they bought it, the dealership had a promotion where anyone who bought a new car that day got two free roundtrip tickets to London, so in a way, that car has taken them across the big pond :)

I still have all the paperwork, dealer sticker & all at home in a file

91 Loyale Wagon, 5 Spd 2WD. had it 15 years, bought it new. Cost was $9997, I still have the original papers in the glove compartment.

I've had my 88 GL for 6 years now. Parents got it for me as a high school graduation gift 'to at least get me through college.' Well, I plan on keeping it as long as I can :brow:

Wife got the 91 loyale 3.5 years ago.

86 GL, Bought brand new by my mom. According to my dad, she's such a good haggler that as they pulled away from the dealership you could see the salesman and manager just standing there shaking their heads looking defeated. From what I understand she got the Sube for almost the same as the dealership buys them, no joke.

1980 1800 gl auto sedan 5yrs

86 5spd d/r wagon 3yrs

88 rs 1yr

93 leg wagon 1.5 yr

88 gl wag (fiancee's) she's had (and now its MINE! ) for 5 years maybe??

Well, the White Loyale 1985 EA82 we got it since brand new, in May 1985, so far has been almost 21 years and it got over 225,000 Miles in it. (It came Running Highways and Bad Roads from California) We have Traveled Too many pretty and Bad Roads with It, To all central america countries, even Panama; so Our Family think about it as a "Brother" not only as a Car...

The Yellow Loyale is Another Story...

'88 Justy - 6 months (gone now)

'81 hatch - 6 months

soon-to-be '82 wagon - 1.5 weeks until I pick it up

Our '92 Loyale was bought new by my wife's parents; it's been in my care about 8 years.

I've had my '83 wagon since December 1990, purchased from my roommate's brother (original owner) for $500. Had 80K on it then, and all the paperwork since new with it. Just turned 300K last week (pix soon).

i rebuilt my 1989 gl with 210k now has 240k owned for a year and has seen its share of air time. i paid 1200$ for it becuse the body at the time had no rust but seward is right by the water and its dont some very not nice things to it...

86 dl 2WD 4SPD hatch base model (no carpet crank winsows, ect) 4 years i think. i bought from original owner w/ 56k mi. now over 100k

84 4wd wagon 5 years and going strong.

I dont keep very good track of these things, I would have to look at the registrations to verify. But I'm going to guess:rolleyes:

I bought an EA82 wagon an 89' DL 5spd. S/R owned for 8 mos. Sold it to my dad.

I just bought an EA81 wagon 84' 4spd. D/R for a daily drive and ocassional mudhole runner. 2 months and goeing.

20 years in the family on my 86 GL wagon. I was 3 years old when my mom bought the car. it was the first car I drove. When I was 8 years old, I would go rally the sooby down the driveway when it would rain. Got that thing covered in mud quite a few times before I got my license
