July 23, 200817 yr working on a skid plate design, it will be aluminum router cut and CNC press bent, the plate will be bigger then stock and offer more protection ,theres so many options I want 1 plate to cover them all but thats not possible, what do you want?? , I want to offer stock EA81 stock EA82 3-4" lifted EA81 and EA82 lifted and non lifted to fit the EJ swap cars,
July 23, 200817 yr i would be interested in EA81 for 85 Brat with 4 inch lift. Are you going to allow access to the oil drain plug, and oil filter?
July 23, 200817 yr Author i would be interested in EA81 for 85 Brat with 4 inch lift. Are you going to allow access to the oil drain plug, and oil filter? that would be Ideal, at least the drain plug
July 23, 200817 yr somehow create a "hole with reinforcement collar" on the plate and thru the hole you could get a socket extension to reach the drain plug straight on.
July 23, 200817 yr Depending on price and my fundage when the parts are ready, I'd be interested in lifted and stock EA81 plates.
July 24, 200817 yr unlifted EA82 with EJ22 and borla headers for me! I'd be happy to take some pictures and measurements of said headers too.
July 24, 200817 yr Scott, I have an adjustable idea drawn up for you, you going to be around tonight? Call me, or I will call you!
July 25, 200817 yr my 82 with 2inch lift. dont care if its pretty, would like your logo cut into it like the lift blocks for the struts. and dont want openings for drain and filter. i rather drop the skid plate to do that every 3 months then not and drop a engine.
September 23, 200817 yr EA81 with EJ22 and 6inch SJR lift and EA81 with EA81 and 4inch SJR lift would be my choice skids. Possibly also an EA82 with EJ22 and SJR 3inch lift.
December 4, 200817 yr Author UPDATE I have not yet designed these this thread was to see what interest there was
December 4, 200817 yr well, i ended up using the stock skid plate, with a fabb'd cross bar welded to front of the plate, and rear slightly bent. rear attached like stock, front welded bar attaches to the front pushbar lower bracket via bolts. all this on a 4" lift brat.
June 7, 201015 yr Any update on this? I'm looking for a skidplate Ea81 4inch lift. Anyone else have ideas? I've heard of using a tachoma skid plate
June 9, 201015 yr Author Imin the process , just have nothing to show yet, I really got to many things going , if you have a cad drawing I can make you one
August 17, 201015 yr non lifted 87 rx skid plate would be nice depending on price. not the best funds right now
August 26, 201015 yr I want one for my 2009 WRX. They are already being mass produced but pricing is rather ridiculous at over $350 each.
