I think it would be about a 1/2" bit.

What size drill bit did you use for that, I have a set of 6 lug Calmasters that I want to use, just haven't really tried to find the right bit size.

  • Made a cargo tray mat out of a large door mat from Home Depot.  Its super tough, made of recycled tires, and only $20. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Apache-Mills-Black-60-in-x-36-in-Commercial-Recycled-

I just finished the assembly of the adjustable top mounts for my EA81 wagon. I bought a set of new strut tops off Yahoo! Japan Auction, had new plates cut for my EA81 and this is the result:

Yesterday, I went with Robbie and pulled a complete set of struts, a radiator, headlights, a grill, and gas shocks for the rear hatch. And today I went and picked up my spare rear diff & mustache bar, and my 6 lug pathfinder rims. It's slowly coming together!

made the trip from Muskegon to Hillsdale to pick up parts for my rusty `86 wagon. A big thanks to TomRhere for the help and the hookup on 4 decent doors, a non-broken rear bumper, and a working stock radio! Also, messed with a cellphone camera while fueling up!

I like this picture, it looks like its from back when this car was still new.

I have 5 montero rims. I think I will drill them out soon.

1/2 inch bit, hu? I'll probably bevel the edges with 2 sizes bigger...

Let us know what you use.

I too like the old look it has to it. Nice shot.

heres a shot in the dark (no pun) i have yet to bevel the holes but i got 95% of the "trimming" (sawzall and drywall hammer/wooden dolly done) still need new front liftblocks w correct camber (anybody wanna cut me some 2x2 square?) but its rolling again now. these wheels tuck under nicely, ill put up more pics when im done and its nice(er)/ brighter outside. also has 4w discs now.

I have changed the engine, messed with the carb, messed with the exhaust, changed the ignition, getting ready to change the engine and tranny (again). Maybe some day I will actually get to drive the thing! I've only driven it to where it sits now in the garage waiting for me to get the time to work on her again. Poor car!

I'm the opposite, I'm putting plenty of K's on my car and wondering when I'll be able to fit the treasure trove of items sitting in my spare room!

I am eager to see that build and hear its final performance characteristics.

I've been dreaming of an H-6 swap since I ran into a SUPER CLEAN 94 SVX with 94K miles on it in a junk yard last fall...

Lately...I drove ~200 miles one way to pick up a SVX motor to swap into my Outback this weekend! I must be nuts.

You've been around longer than me, superu. ha ha. You should do the swap. We'll compare notes along the way. You're probably more competent than I am. ;)

I wish I was having the same problem you are. Soon I will be! Cheers!:slobber:

Well while thatswhatshesaid is putting a 6 cylinder in his car, I'm gonna be putting in the clutch from a 6 cylinder ;)

XT6 clutch FTW!

Yes siree I'm dropping an XT6 clutch into my 5sp d/r swapped brat, because my used jy clutch is SATH.

It slips in first gear

So anyway, I'll be pulling the engine and getting the flywheel resurfaced this week.

Oh, and does anybody have any suggestions on where to get a disty seal?

Mine is leaking underneath the disty.

Twitch

I agree I should do the swap, but see, you have the motor :slobber:

Go find one! They're dirt cheap! Come on...you're a veteran around here. It's time.

today I discovered 23 offset pugs with 225/45/15 tires do NOT fit under stock fenders at ALL.

You need to to some wicked camber like the JDM guys Lol...

Yeah thats a close shave. Looks cool though, I bet 225s would have fit.

Whoops, thought it side 245!

Well then what 215s or 205s? Dunno what kind of sport tires your gonna find in that width?

those are 225s
