  • Made a cargo tray mat out of a large door mat from Home Depot.  Its super tough, made of recycled tires, and only $20. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Apache-Mills-Black-60-in-x-36-in-Commercial-Recycled-

  • While im here Loyale, Id just like to say thanks. Nowhere else on the 'net have i seen a more consistently helpful fellow. Never a bad word or attitude; always just reaching out a helping hand wit

Drove Clod to town to pick up some groceries. Was able to fill grocery bin #1, but had to leave grocery bin #2 empty as a result of slightly lower than anticipated funding, and higher than projected holiday spending. Still waiting for those Obamanomics to kick in.

changed oil pan gasket on whitey. found water leak. right where i thought it was, the water pump. stay tuned.

also discovered why whitey chokes out sometimes: hitachi crap. i ziptied the flapper pretty close to shut (2000RPM idle now) to get home. sweet.

Today I disguised those unsightly rust holes in the back quarter's of my Loyale. Waiting for the expanding foam to cure right now. The label on the can say's it's very sticky stuff. I sure hope so. I'll need some firm gripping adhesion to hold my textured vinyl patche's in place. The liquid nails helped a little. Now I just have to get some matching paint. I might shoot it with some flat black first to see what it look's like.

Wife bought me a 75k heater for the garage. :)

Now I can spend more time out there working on my Subarus, and less time in the house annoying her.

mine is currently at the mechanic for inspection. They need to replace the rear breaks and muffler they said. Brakes did look iffy but the muffler is fine. It had a slight crack down the seam and they wont pass it. Jerks. I told them to toss on the cheapest one they got.

They couldn't just weld down the crack and fix it!? Lame.

A mechanic isn't going to weld up your old part, they are only going to replace it, thats their job. Charge you as much as possible for crap you don't even need. I don't even have mufflers on either of my Subarus. But then again, I don't live in PA where they have vehicle inspection. Hell, WI doesn't even have emissions for vehicles 1995 and older (OBD-I systems)

The more and more i see those generation of wagons the more i want one. I found out why my heat isnt working today. Blew fuses due to the alternator voltage regulator not working. At least it wasnt to serious.

'88 GL Wagon;

Un-did the PO's rework of the strut towers and bolted in the XT6 struts.

Dropped the modded engine crossmember out, and removed the HH so I could clean up the mess from brake fluid.

Installed an XT6 engine crossmember after drilling the proper mounting hole on each side.

Located items to install a good EA82 PS rack, but may opt to install the XT6 one.

Got the XT6 knuckles assemblies ready to be installed, complete with control arms and radius rods.

Made sure I knew where the new motor and trans mounts were.

Sure wish I had the money for a 4" lift kit right now. (sigh)

But it was nice to have a warm garage to work in again. :)

more like "for" my Subaru..."to" comes later:grin:

had Santa bring this for my wagon, please excuse the RX stunt model:rolleyes:

Good enough for now.

Damn I just love that color! My two favorite colors for EA82s are the Ruby #947 and what is that color called? Misty Dawn or something?

I Received for Christmas the Oil Catch Can I Ordered, but it came Wrong: 9mm (3/8") and I Ordered it 15mm (5/8") ...

Ordered cherry bomb glass pack for the brat! ...

I'll Love to Hear That! ...

That is a great idea! wow, Will have to see how it holds up (I dont have a rust problem in my main brat (Texas) but my trailer brat is rusted bad..., I will try this... Where did you get the vinyl?

Installed some General Altimax Artic snow tires, changed the headlight bulbs, and installed a roof rack.

Cherry BOmb exhaust will be here thursday:banana:

thinking of putting in a switch for the fuel pump, maybe place the switch on the ceiling of the brat( the plastic piece that pops out) anybody have any pictures of there fuel pump switches or just switches in general?

SJ

Fixed the ghetto cruiser's rear defrost circuit (switch and relay are good, ground is good, bad spade connector). I think it snowed a foot today - still snowing. I love my lifted wagon...

Distributor gears are in at Auburn Subaru. Adam there has been a big help:grin:

Finished sealing the Franken Tranny... Dont think it will work, but nothing else ever goes right, so why not try it.
