  1. Last week I purchased another BRAT to use as a second parts car. Got the thing for $150 and had a hell of a time getting it loaded up on a trailer being that it was rusted and frozen to the ground. I finally made it back out to my granny's house today and decided to take some pictures and get a better look at my recently aquired beast. I hope you all enjoy this as much as I did. Other than being rusted out to where hell wouln't have it, its got a pretty sweet interior. Sweet non-cracked dash: Now this is where things get weird. I checked my VIN numbers on the new brat and it was made in (5/83). Same as my blue one, checked both plates and the last three numbers on the white one is 147, blue one is 151. So I assume that the new white brat rolled off the assembly line 4 cars ahead of my blue one. Hope you all enjoyed this.
  2. I knew chevy had done some recent Isuzu cross-overs in the past year with the Isuzu Pup which was the same thing as an S-10. Wasn't aware the LUV was the same thing though.
  3. Id be interested in seeing a picture of that.
  4. The first day I find a pentastar on it, im selling it.
  5. Currently, I am bored out of my mind so looking at old datsuns on ebay I stumbled across this. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1978-DATSUN-620-PICKUP-Best-on-Ebay-CLEAN-CALIF-TRUCK_W0QQitemZ270083500786QQihZ017QQcategoryZ84165QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem To get to the point, the air cleaner box on this looks awfully alot like that on EA71's Then there was the little body code sticker that looks exactly like the one on my brat. I am aware of the fact that we share parts with nissan/datsun. Just thought I might be able to contribute to this community that has aided me on several occasions.
  6. When my alternator went on vacation on my hatch the wipers came on too. Just replace the thing and then go from there.
  7. Figured I would beat the rest of you all to it by saying junkyard.
  8. Well..if he uses that, your two cents won't be wasted.
  9. Jonas, what bulbs does the dash use like that, wouldn't mind trying out blue to match my interior in my brat.
  10. Get you a sweet set of some white wagon wheels.
  11. Pop your door panels off and make sure they're still connected for starts; And I meen ALL the panels.
  12. I like how they at least take the effort to tell what color it is.
  13. From the testimonials that I have heard on here. CCR makes a hell of an engine.
  14. What you have is an EA82T with a dual range 5 speed. MOST Brats are EA81 and 4 speed dual range(stock). Check and see what they have for the wagons. With the dual range and corresponding years. Subaru tried to stick to making interchangeable parts is what I like about them. You also have to understand the RX is a fairly rare model for most part stores to comprehend. Just see what they have for a wagon and you should be set, ill leave the floor for some die hard EA82 user to clear this up.
  15. Did this kid not have much common sense when it comes to making the big boy decision of purchasing a vehicle.
  16. My brat is an 83 model and I love it to death. I got it for $900 and it had a rebuilt motor, rebuilt tranny, etc. My biggest pet peev is electrical issues, they are a pain to find and definetely can help you get a better deal, not to mention the bad tranny in the one you are going to look at. If it has the seats then it would be hard to pass up. Hope you take alot of pictures.
  17. Thats exactly how I feel about a check engine light. Everyone says:"just put some tape over it". Thats not the point, its on for a reason not just to bug the crap out of you. Some of these charter members has gotta have a sure fire way to fix this.
  18. The skid plate over the differential is top notch. A++ Now I finally get to use it
