  1. What kind of shape was your hood scoop in? Mine is losing chunks of clear coat every day.
  2. I hope you got some parting pictures of your RS. Luckily there is a huge market for the 98-01 2.5RS.
  3. What was the excuse she gave you for hitting you?
  4. Mine used to do something similar to that. But when I would get going it would get to about 30-35 psi. At a red light it would drop to really low but as soon as I started going again the pressure would pick back up, the owner manual said this was normal. I suggest keeping an eye on your oil level has some have had issues with the oil gauge reading incorrectly.
  5. I cleaned a set up on my 91 Legacy early part of last year. Autozone sells a kit that comes with an adapter bit that fits into your drill and comes with 6 abrasive pads with the rubbing agent built in. What one does is spray it with a mist of water and use the drill moving in an all-over fashion. Before: During: After:
  6. I would start by going to the dealership and buying some plugs and wires and changing those out.
  7. I have seen a number of things caused by a bad battery or alternator. Did you check the terminals on your battery to make sure they are not corroded over? That would be my first place to start. Try and find a date of manufacture on the battery, it would be better to replace it at home than sitting in a parking lot. While you are at it. Take your car to an auto parts store and have them check your charging system while the car is under load (lights on, inside blower, etc.)
  8. Don't want to be a wet blanket but it sounds like you are going to have your hands full for the next few weeks. I am willing to bet you already have an external leak on your head gaskets. Like stated before, either the guy was an idiot and thought the car needed a fuse there or you have some torque bind issues. I believe the main cause of the bind is the duty c solenoid. I would go to a large empty parking lot, take out the fuse and drive in circles. You will know pretty quickly if you have the bind or not. Take your car to the local auto parts store and have them pull your check engine codes and write them down. Bring them back here and post the codes and we will give you an idea on what to fix. Welcome aboard.
  9. https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/oe_parts_cat.html I assume you are needing #3. I would just call your local dealer, I bet they have one in stock and just give them the description below. I love the site but they really get you with the $8.00 minimum shipping charge on a sixty cent bolt. bolt - 2.0 liter Manual transmission - 2.0 liter Manual transmission $0.64 Engine / transaxle - Transaxle parts - Flywheel - Bolt
  10. One of my 83 BRATs had a perfect one and the other BRAT looked like the Grand Canyon. The 84 Hatch's was un-cracked as well.
  11. Just remember that Grayson will screw you over big time.
  12. We stopped at Earl Duff Sunday to check out the Foresters. The wife thought about trading the Honda in on a Paprika Red one or a Cammila Red XT. If you decide that you want to get one, let me know and I will go to Earl Duff with you. I am good friends with a coupe salesmen down there. If you change your mind, we can find you a good used WRX.
  13. Dude that sucks. Let us know what progress you make.
  14. You positive your inverter is good? I deal with these things everyday in our police cars at work. They are constantly going through fuses, laptop batteries, alternators, and power inverters.
  15. Yet again, this all depends on the level of Impreza that is purchased. If you bought a brighton, you got jack. No tach, crank windows, drum brakes, no ABS, un-painted door handles. My 2.5RS which was top of the line in its' day got all of those things. Dual piston front brakes, head gasket loving engine, disc brakes and ABS all around, power moonroof and windows, speed sensitive power steering, rear LSD, and even a sound and security system upgrade. Then in 2001 it got carbon fiber trimmed pieces around the console, granted I think they look goofy but some people may like the look. Of course I am comparing apples to oranges with the OP 95 Impreza L. I wonder where you seen it at? I just hope my head gaskets hold out for at least another year. Then she is getting sold to buy me a pignose WRX.
  16. Looks great dude. Now just find you some WRX wheels for and it will look even better.
  17. My condolences dude, that sucks.
  18. Granted this is not the place for this, I thought it deserved a bump. ShawnW, I believe was responsible for them a few years ago. I agree, we need another run of shirts. I would buy 2 right now if the opportunity arose.
  19. I got a '00 2.5RS myself and love the snot out of it. Only issue I have had out of it is rotors warping and someone putting an aftermarket pressure plate in with a factory Exedy clutch. My first car was a 91 Legacy L and then I went to an 84 Hatch, to an 83 BRAT and then sold them all and my 97 Tacoma and paid cash for the RS. Still had a crap ton of cash left to spare. The wife and I are seriously talking about trading it in for a WRX though. She is a picture whore so here she is:
  20. Why not just buy a truck if towing is that big of a deal?
  21. Could the compressed air trick be applied to the rear defroster button on my 00 Impreza?
