  1. All I can say is wow. That thing was in great shape prior to the flood. Even if you can't get the interior recovered to where you would want it. You can always take another $100 or so and find some more interior pieces. Make sure and post some after pics as well.
  2. I had a similar problem in my BRAT. Replacing the windshield wiper motor fixed my problem.
  3. Thanks for the advice, here is the paint I ordered: http://www.grimmspeed.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=144
  4. Family Guy and Nasioc picture posting habits have ruined me.
  5. Looking good dude. Buddy of mine that runs an independent Subaru dealer recently had a woman pay her bill with a 91 Turbo Legacy. He had the motor out at the end of the day and put into his Impreza brighton coupe. Said he had been waiting on one of those motors ever since his EJ25 kicked the bucket. I can't wait to see some videos of it running. You going to upgrade turbos while your at it?
  6. I have a set of WRX wheels that have the stock RE92's that are about wore out on my 91 Legacy. After my failed attempt at finding some 98 5 spoke goldies, I have decided to paint my WRX wheels. I am ordering the gold spray paint from Grimmspeed because their gold supposedly matches BBS gold perfectly. First thing I am going to do is have me a new set of tires put on and have them move the wheel weight to the inside so I don't have to worry about painting over it again in the future. I still have the factory 6 spokes on it and just plan on hanging onto them. I got two big sheds so I already have a paint booth to utilize. I am needing to know what is the best method of sanding them down for me to primer them. Here is my photoshop concept picture:
  7. 84 is going to have a blue one. You sure none of your fuel filters are stopped up? Just throwing that out there.
  8. I found myself covering up the laptop from the wife. Felt like I was looking at porn with her in the same room as me. I want to see a video of that thing running.
  9. No problem man. Please post lots of pictures if you buy it.
  10. I checked on the my.subaru page and they had previously put the HG treatment in the car. I needed to get the coolant changed because the car came from Georgia and was only rated for 20 degrees.
  11. Please tell me you got some pictures of it.
  12. It was doing fine up until the day I sold the BRAT to buy my RS. I say go with it man. I used the same technique for tightening the water pump bolts as you do with lug nuts. Start with one bolt then go to the opposite side.
  13. Here is my thread from last year: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=87147 It should get you going. I took the gasket and coated it with RTV before I put it on there. I did have to seal up a bolt a couple weeks with some more RTV. In all reality, my cooling problem was a $5.00 radiator cap.
  14. I had my RS's coolant changed at the start of winter. They told me that the new (green) subaru coolant came with the HG treatment already in it.
  15. EA81's do not have an overflow tank. They just overflow onto the ground. Make sure and catch all the coolant that drains out when you are taking this thing off. Don't want to be causing extra trouble for yourself. Also make sure and follow the correct burping procedures or you will get stuck with a big air pocket in your system. If you do use RTV make sure and let it cure for more than a hour before firing it up.
  16. Really good advice. Remember to get the surface where the old water pump was nice and clean. That old gasket material is hard to get off. I used black RTV for the gasket. 5 10mm bolts and your off, just be careful with them bolts.
  17. Wait till you rattle GeneralDisorder's cage. My point was to get the most relevant information to the original poster in the fewest posts as possible.
  18. ^ Useless post. Here: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=15309&highlight=speaker+size
  19. Correct, do NOT waste your time on aftermarket junk.
