  1. I don't know much about the EA82's but welcome to the best place on the net for older Subarus.
  2. Looks good man. I can't imagine how weird it is to you when we post pictures of our left hand drive EA81's.
  3. Welcome to the board, I have an RS coupe myself. I am going to be the first to warn you about the headgaskets on the EA82T, be forewarned.
  4. Wow. I rolled 99k over on my '00 RS coupe today and have been worrying about the upcoming maintenance that is due. Thats great to hear about these cars hitting that mark. Keep it on the road man.
  5. Just pull the steering pad up at the edges and there is a nut underneath it.
  6. Word of advice I can give you is to not put an Autozone axle in there. I stand by MWE axles, others by Subaru axles.
  7. MWE axles are awesome pieces of machinery. Tell Marshall that you are a member of this board and he not charge you a core fee.
  8. Pull the wire off the distributor cap that runs from the coil and hold it to a piece of metal and see if you have spark while someone turns it over. I had a similar situation in 2005 where my hatch would turn over but not fire. It turned out to be just a bad coil wire.
  9. How are your wheel bearings? CV axle will click but I have had them do some weird things. Are all your boots intact?
  10. Replace your alternator. Do it before you get stranded on the side of the road.
  11. Make sure no wires came undone underneath your steering column. I disconnected some connectors under the dash while going down the road once and I lost everything. It did exactly what your describing.
  12. I want to see some more pictures. Especially interior shots.
  13. I have this one and have had really good luck with it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBD-II-SCANNER-OBD2-2-SCAN-TOOL-CODE-READER-OBDII-ENHAN_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1163Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem200276269593QQitemZ200276269593QQptZMotorsQ5fAutomotiveQ5fTools
  14. I agree. I think your car will have a filter next to gas tank and one under the hood.
  15. I drive 80 miles a day on I-40 drive to the university and about ever other day I see some GD WRX. There is a woman in her late 60's that drives an 05 STi WRB on Gold and she waves back.
  16. Connie, I took your advice and 7 months of daily classified car shopping later I found me a car. I bought this a few weeks ago and have still yet to adjust to it. This is a little different from that Impreza L coupe that I drove back in March, and a thousand time different than my 83 BRAT. Here are some picture so enjoy. P.S. I now get waves all the time from WRX owners.
  17. No problem man, glad I could help out. I found that airflow is better with the t-tops open and back glass open. I noticed that when they were out the airflow is decreased considerably. One thing that I wanted to do back in the summer was to buy one of those reflective windshield visors and cut it to fit the t-tops. You will noticed a lot of heat lost and heat trapped because of them.
  18. He should be fine as long as the replacement came out of a 4x4 EA81 vehicle that isn't a hatch.
