Had my eye on this one too. Did you get it for $1200 or less? Keep me in mind if the tickle doesn't last too long. -
Nice project and nice history for a Belgian Subaru Dealer. Good luck with it. You're far ahead of what most people would come up with for advancing performance from an EA81. Is this going to remain N/A or are you going to pump the gas into it - Turbo ? Don't sweat the English. They pardoned me for being bad and speaking English so you're all set. Cheers! There are dual carburetor setups out there. - just a thought before exiting ...enjoy!

Nice find ! Those little bikes are great. So yours has those same scrambler pipes? "Clubman" bars would do it nice without the pain of clip-ons.

I'm thinking you'd need the little decal tags to verify. Geez,I had no idea about lower ratios but then again there's the mystery of 1976 ..... (final drive ration - so you don't have to ask) -

Anyone ever try one of these windshield gaskets?
moosens replied to ettev's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Mike, This seller would NOT reply with a date of manufacture to me. He also has or had the previous gen. gaskets. We had ours made in a group buy , if you didn't see it. PRP told us their supplier was going to scrap the mold and that they (PRP) were NOT going to order more unless we coughed up an order for at least 50 - I think it was. Our Gen I gaskets are awsome. Even now I'm pulling a few out and they smell and feel great. The one I personally installed was a breeze to deal with and it fit perfect, pretty much. I suggested a long time ago that you 80-84 folks git yer arses together and get at least a batch of 100 made. I'd even get in on them even though I don't own a Gen II. We ended up paying around $38 per gasket I think. PRP rep. was Derek Churchyard. Good bloke -UK man. Happy resto ! And I'll blow some smoke at this time - Mike your efforts are truely inspriing !!! Get that good , fresh made gasket your work deserves. Cheers! -
i made it Columbia,sc

Yeah buddy !!!!!!!!!!! You freakin east coast dude, you! Coffee is better here and no meth freaks. Real European women here. No need for copy cat armpit hair trailer trash. Southeast is bad for Subaurs but venture up into the hills of western NC and you'll start seeing them. You wanna venture up this way let me know. So,what about work? When do you get back at it? You're with DHL/FedEx,right? Any more vacation time this year? Maybe do a weekend romp up to NJ or to OBX NC? -
East coast Members "Howdy"
moosens replied to Sparky60's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Hey Sparky ! Glad you're here! Get settled and PLEASE POST THAT BEACH MEET thread ! I'll catch up to you soon about those exhaust pieces and the beer money and all that ... real soon. If you're into old British and European motorcycles I'd be willing to drive down to Germantown MD this coming Sunday - May 23rd if you're willing to drive up....make contact to verify just because my son has had some illnesses recently that might keep us from making it. Hope you adapt to the weather and culture. Cheers! -
California EA63 would have EGR and a couple of hoses on the intake. Does it have exhaust ports coming out from the front and rear of the heads?

Its a shame.... what do I do...

My first thought is your mechanic is making out best here. Money you paid equals value of pretty much rustfree example and shipping. I see no problem there. YellowSub sure seems like a great person and excellent board member to me. Tommy, you need to slow down, literally. Everyone I encounter who has any contact with you says the same thing. Stop bombarding people with messages and stop posting what you should take up personally. You're not a bad person,we know that, but don't get people wanting to turn and run from you either. And please be considerate of people's lives and schedules. Back to your Brat. What about the transporter in this deal? Did some driver decide to YaHa it around when he took it down to remove another car? Something smells rotten here, and I don't suspect the seller. Have you actually had your head under the Brat to inspect for damage to the exhaust or head on that side? Did you take it off the transporter and inspect it well then? I sure hope all works out. But to me,the deal is done and you're not burned by the seller. Cars not running coming east with solid bodies cost close to $2k total , to finally have them in your garage, etc. That's the deal. And getting a Brat at that price isn't too shabby. Engines are more plentiful than you think. Same with trannies, clutches, and more to keep it running. -
This is the second time around for this load, guys. Same questions - same answers. Do you really have space for all the extra? This guy wants the load goneas a load. But at the same time admits he sold a rather serious item(s) in that new dashboard. That's got to take a chunk out of the value of the lot,for sure. You need to go there count and write or type and figure what really sells and for how much? Several of us are watching NOS items sitting around on eBay now. Certain eras you can just forget about selling parts for like the 1970-1973 cars. And the next era -'74-76 isn't too healthy either.
