here's another one, unfortunately all the pics are gone. This was more along the lines of a canvas sunroof the size the the wagons roof...... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=22034&highlight=cloth PS. This thread brought to you through the power of search:headbang:

I don't know if I'll make it this year but I can tell you last year was some of the most fun I've ever had with my hatch:headbang: . PS where is "The dude abides"???? He's looking for a get together and this is a good one:clap: Later, Tim

I have also recently discovered local rally X, I'll be putting together the 84 turbo coupe that I got from Bill last year to race. I'm planning on keeping it very stock, including the A/C. I've been told the WRX is not alowed to get raced:rolleyes: . Later, Tim

I must be missing something. You're going to pay $120 for a 27" tyre that you have to swap out every time you want to go wheeling?? Why not get a 28" Swamper for about $80 and you can drive on them year round:confused:  . Like I said, I may be missing something but it just doesn't make sense. Just my .02, Tim

I think you have once again inspired me:-p . I plugged in that size to google and I'm thinking that will probably be the size tyre I put on my T-Coupe for rallying. I tried the next size up, 215/70/r13 but didn't get any hits. To bad, that would keep the stock height and add extra width. Hatch is looking great:headbang: Later, Tim

Now that's good television!!!!!!! The two Mittsies bately made it out of the gate, both broke!!!!! The only other car was a Hyundi, which to it's credit finished the race. Pastarna and Mcrea both got out is spectacular form!! and I can't remember the kids name who won but both he and his nav were from the US if that helps. I'm sure there is already footage on Youtube by now. Later, tim

There are reginal SCCA clubs who often run Rally Crosses. I'm on my wifes comp so I don't have any link, but a Google search will get you close. They have them here all summer and I want to run my 84 turbo coupe once I get it all put together. Later, tim

I have the samething in DRTYGRL, but it is great for in the mud. A little finese goes along way in driving it on the street. I just don't seem to have a problem, probably because I don't put myself in situations were I would be forced to spin the tyres:rolleyes: .

Okay, I've got it all back together and it does work:banana:  I just have a couple of small details to work out, one is a rubbing fan the other is where to put the displaced windshield washer resevoir. I haven't taken it on the road yet but I'm hopeing by days end. Pics to follow:headbang: . Tim Update to the update....... Good news and bad news....... Good news is that my new radiator isn't damaged from the fan Bad news, There is/was a small brass ID tag that caught the radiator fan, by the time I figured it out the fan is toast. $60 I don't have/want to spend

KYB Gr2 vs AGX
chef_tim replied to charm's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVX
Slight redirect.......... I've been looking for a spring strut combo for my OBW that we use to pull a pop-up camper. I'm about to give up and just do a KYB with OEM springs. Any chance any of you has any guidance or experience in this area???? I'd rather not spend the money for King Spring either. Thanks for you input, now back to your regularly scheduleled discusion. Tim -
Yes depends; How many miles? any slop, rust etc? If they're good I say don't mess with them and Yes. I just put a GCK in my OBW and it was a very beefy looking axle, I bought it from Auto Zone, $90.02. Later, Tim
