I have two 10" aftermarket fans on each of my lifted Subbies. One is an EA81 and the other is an EA 82. Both are on factory thermal switches and cool just fine. Now if I could get my horizantal mount job done and see how that set up works:banana:

I replaced a dragging rear brake caliper on DRTYGRL and the milage is up to 18+ mpg now:eek: . Lots of factors to concider. Best, Tim

I'm going to have my fans on the underside so they pull air in from out side. I'll be building a "hood scoop" to cover the hole in the hood so snow and junk doesn't pile up on the radiator. I'm still looking at how to mount the radiator, but I'm thinking a rectangle cradle out of angle iron and mounting brackets bolted to the strut top bolts. Share some pics as you get started and I'll do the same. Later, Tim

year before last was great, it was our first vacation with no real problems. It was the road test for the CCR 2.5 and the only problem was the temp sensor I missed when I put the thing together. I is a beautiful camp ground and just a good place to relax. See you there, Tim

I have an 86 hatch, 3" lift and fenders trimed about 25mm with 28" Swampers on it. However, I'm running 14" pugs not a 16" rim. Alot of it is going to depend on what your willing to do to the car, it is relative to what you think is to much. Your location is a definate plus, there are alot of guys out there who have a wealth of knowledge and experience on the subject. HTH, Tim

GL10 trip comp gives alot of that type info. You could try and put one in your current car or, easier, get a GL10. Tim

It has begain. I pulled the radiator and bumper today, I'm going to refit the bumper first then start to work on the radiator. :banana:

Hey Pat, I think I'm the only one who is in line with what you've said... . You might need to swap radiators too. Along with the cooler lines. The rest of the swap should be straight forward. Good luck, Tim

Well, we took it for a test drive (you had to see that coming). BUT, I din't like the "feel" of it as well as my WRX. It has a more refined, for lack of a better term, feel. Yes, very fast and a lot of cool gaggits (I really like the adjustable red line in the tach). But I like the "raw" feel of my 06. So, if you're looking for a grown up car one of these might be for you. In fact the guy who traded it in traded for an $80k Mercedes Benz. Still a beautiful car and one I'll be able to tell the grandkids I drove one once:headbang: . Later, Tim
