  1. The wheelbases of the wagon and the 3 door are identical. The 3 door will be a good offroader if you build it up some. Chances of it having an LSD are slim if it's not an RX. Sorry.
  2. Then you are in the wrong forum. This, however was the question.
  3. Big Dead Zone = Montana. Montana = 700 miles wide. The land of the lost when it comes to cell phones. The rest of the country, even S.D. had coverage.
  4. Might look good, but the ea81s are the best off roaders. Hands down. If you disagree cuz you own a lifted ea82, then it's cuz you never had a lifted ea81 to wheel.
  5. I've seen one. It was on/in a XT6 on it's way into Aaron's Auto Wrecking. Couple years ago.
  6. That's too easy. Being from here, I got to tour her when she was there. Won't give it away for the others.
  7. His name's Jeff. I can't be there, not done with the imp yet. It's taller now.
  8. Here's the carnage: http://rallitek.net/forums/showthread.php?t=356
  9. Mine have each done that a few times. I say it's clogged injectors from bad gas. I just filled it with Super and added some STP fuel injector cleaner. Like new.
  10. Since I've got your attention. . . I tried several times to call you on Sunday, but no answer. So, I made the 100 mile round trip to Qman's and dropped off the wheels at his place.
  11. I try to buy my tires at Les Schwabb as aften as possible. The tires cost a little more, but you cannot beat the warrantee. I like to be able to speak face to face with a person when I want a company to make good on a warrantee. Call around to different shops, you'll find a big difference in prices.
  12. That's right. It also depends on who you know. They are always abundant, just not apparent.
  13. What do you mean bluff? If you were anywhere around here when he did it, you woulda read about the carnage. We've yet to see your car offroad at all. None of the photos you've posted of it so far count.
  14. I can't find the one you asked for Ken, I'll keep looking. But here's a couple of tippy photos for you all. Me in my brat, Ken in his hatch.
  15. Napa sells the heli-coil kit (m10/125). Just tap the spacer, helicoil it, add new studs and it will work better than if you drill and tap the head. Really.
  16. I need an end link from the front sway bar, driver's side. Think I'll make a trip there in the morning.
  17. Thought I might go over. (sorry about the photos taken from the tv)
  18. The administrator here asked us some time ago not to make trouble on other boards in the name of the USMB. We abide by that willingly and happily.
  19. I thought it was going over. http://www.pbase.com/verdugo/image/35477914

What's the name of the "local offroad company"? What do they use as for the steering extension? Have they done Soobs before? If so, why haven't we heard of them?
  21. I completely apologize for getting so off topic. . . We broke plenty of stuff on the Rubicon, but had all the spare parts and a welder. (used part of the handle from a hi-lift to repair a strut. lol) We did indeed drive Ken's Brat back to Oregon after we beat it on the Rubicon. I filmed most of our little adventure and put out DVDs after we got back. Funny thing is, we've since discovered the "Wall" trail at Reiters Pit, it's every bit as dificult as anything we tackled on the Rubicon, except there's bigtime mud too. I kinda feel dumb for traveling 122 miles to 4X when it's right here in our back yard. lol Now that we've worked out the quirks involved in building Soobs with transfer cases and the like, I think we'd make pretty light work of the terrain we went thru last time. We'd be laughing at Caddy Hill. Post pile, shmost pile. lol I think Ken's Brat would jump at the chance of re-doing the trails we did. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'd be all over Moab, but I've had my fill of desert for a couple of years. Maybe in a few when my boy is old enough to come with me. Beautiful country, makes for awesome photos that's for sure.
  22. I sold a lifted hatch to a guy who moved to Hawaii with it. If you run into him or his car, tell Micah "Hi from Zap". The hatch is an 82, grey with black hood.
  23. Jamie Subie Gal summed it up well. "Any fool can go fast in a straight line."
  24. I'm glad too. We posted about going to the Rubicon and got nothing but crap for hokey welds or other. Only one or two guys gave us any props.
