Went to the site and asked them to forward the link to the Hatch Patrol's site. Found this lifted legacy, looks kinda photoshopped. . .
  2. I'd really like to see how it's lifted. Who said I like legacys? Why do they gotta be wussy? That 2.2 is no joke. I'm betting that if I can get a 3 inch lift and a D/R in my OBS that it keep up offroad with a lifted ea81 or ea82. With only the Outback struts, it has as much travel as I ever got out of the 9 lifted hatchback/brats I've owned. Independent suspension is just that, so they'd be equal there. Neither will ever win a rock crawling championship. With fuel injection and twice as much torque, an impreza should be pretty formidable. Why not have an offroad Soob that I can still get up to 90 going up hills? Check out the picture, they're pretty close in size so the weight can't be too different. Can you see my point of view?
  3. That's sweet! Could you mail me bigger ones? Thanks. EZ
  4. That may change. I got a call this early a.m. from my sister. My Father crashed his motorcycle last night and is in the hospital with several broken bones. It may be up to me to pull "first born son duties" this weekend involving getting his bike out of impound among other things. I'll know tonight for sure.
  5. nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
  6. Me and Ken will be there.
  7. Nothing came thru Corky. Try it again please. Or, if you're gonna be in the neighborhood, I'll put them all on cd for ya. I'll make up a cd for Ken, he can get you a copy Rob. I'd post that one I took of you on that dirt mound, but it shows your face and I don't want any punks doctoring it up in photoshop. Email me, I'll send it to ya Rob. They're all pretty big though, so expect a slow download if you're on dial-up like me. lol If you weren't there, please don't send me emails asking for photos. You shoulda been there.
  8. You bet, but I've lost ALL my email addresses since I rebooted my computer. Email me, I'll respond with it Corky. chairotsu (at) earthlink.net
  9. Whoops, I stand corrected. We thought that was wheeling till we found the "Wall" trail. Made most of the Rubicon seem tame. hehe. That would be the trail that busted my welded diff. lol
  10. Here's one with just the mountain. I originaly took it in 5 megapixel mode, so my original is awesome, even with the smoggy air. It's my current background.
  11. Here's the only one of the group I got without heeps in it. Someone's going topless. lol
  12. They are the Australian Company that is in court with Brett of BYB over rights to the kit they borrowed from Brett. . .
  13. If it makes me feel any better, I was the only one running an open rear diff that day.
  14. I voted for the one on the bottom right. She looks HOT!
  15. I know you guys hate fun and games. . . But, I got to finally see it a few weeks ago, IT EXISTS!!
  16. If you can find Shelton, WA, you can find the Mason Co. Fairgrounds. BTW, we timed it as about 22 seconds from Highway 101.
  17. If "OZIFIED" on my plate doesn't let you konw I'm on the USMB. . . what will? lol I'm in need of more USMB stickers too. Feel free to bring them out of mothballs Mick. Black ones.
  18. If you go to Brett's http://www.ausubaru.com/ausubaru/html/modules.php?name=Forums site, you'll find a bunch of posts from folks upset about Brett not responding to their emails. You may have a loooooooonnnnngggg wait if you wanna go with an original BYB kit from Brett. It also appears that if you question him or his reliablilty, they'll quickly ban you.
  19. If the engine says ea71, then it is. 1600, not 1800.
  20. You'll be waiting for a while. He's not gonna be distributing the EJ kits. Too spendy, plus they involve a spendy OB/Forester strut swap. The stock struts won't allow anything bigger than a 185/70/14 for a tire. You'll have to talk to Mudrat about EJ lifts.

When we went thru the Rubicon, the three Soobs all used welded diffs. The diffs all held together fine. Axles too, don't think we broke too many. Stub axles broke a lot. I think we replaced 5. Lots of traction means you don't have to air down tires, so you get a little more clearance. Ken ran 40lbs the whole time.
  22. He doesn't have to believe the hype. But I bet he hates parrallel parking. lol
  23. All the answers to your questions are in the Off Road Forum in the FAQ sticky. Give it a try.
  24. I'll loan you my garage and help if you decide to take it on.

A board member told me today he caught an LSD on ebay going for over 300 bucks. It had a reference at the bottom to come to this board to find out how to convert it to 3.9. Wonder what board member it is sniping and using us to help him.
