  1. I'm gonna try to leave my house before 8 a.m. Saturday to beat the ferry traffic. You have my address? I think you can throw a rock from your house and hit mine.
  2. I think Tex might be coming out too. Ken's rig isn't ready to wheel, can't find a transfer case. There's some minor wheeling on the property that I was planning on doing with my impreza. Your car will be fine. Feel free to come out just to get away from teh city and enjoy a camp fire. There's a quad out there to ride too.
  3. Scott. PM me your mailing addy, I've got an extra copy of the Subarubicon dvd I'll send to you. You'll get a look-see at Mudrat's Weeble Wobble and Lumpycam's Unhatched. I'll also add in the vhs to dvd copy of my "Favorite Footage" that shows my Bobbed Brat at the end.
  4. Thanks for the heads up Jamie, I'm gonna record it onto my other Rally Tapes. I've been recording WRC since 98. I'm gonna stop by and see ya soon.
  5. Here's the new mudders mounted. 10 inches under the Y-pipe, better part of 11 under the rear diff.
  6. Yeah, but then you have a pile of mud in your yard. lol

You have any more photos of you playing in the soob at Brown's Camp? I saw the one you put up in the Off Road Pic Thread, Nice Shot. Reason I'm starting a seperate post is that I'm trying to keep that thread as comment free as possible. Too much clutter accumulates if I don't, it would be 150 posts long. I went there with a group of Soobs 4 years ago or so. I recognize the hill in the photo, except when I tried it it was pouring down rain and had been for days. My hatch was open diffed at the time, the Super Swampers had no chance. Gnarly stuff.
  8. Not even talking about Tex. lol
  9. *all in fun, all in fun* Or, what to do if: I read a post earlier where one of our more prominent off roaders said that he didn't like mud anymore. Here's why, get this. :-p 1. Mud got in the radiator fins and made it run hot 2. mud got into the bellhousing, had to be cleaned 3. mud got into the air intake 4. it was hard to get the dried mud off the car 1. Water rinsed thru the radiator just after takes care of that. Mike W used to bring a squirter just for that. 2. Water poured into the timing hole while the car is running will clean that out, do it near the time of the mud getting in. Could even save your throw out bearing. 3. DOH! You gotta either cover your intake with something simple like a red rag, or go a little slower thru the mudhole. (maybe spfi isn't all it's cracked up to be) hehe 4. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Join the club, play you pay. (literally) 10 bucks is the going rate at the local pressure wash car wash to get the better part of it off. I personally think mud is where it's at. We came back from the Rubicon thinking that we could have gone to Walker Valley and experienced the same degree of difficulty, but it would have been wet and muddy. There for funner. I hate dust. (if the said person is offended, pm me and I'll delete this thread)
  10. We're on him like white on rice. GO AWAY JON! JM TURBOSPFI, whatever.
  11. That looks more like Moosey playing near the mud. .
  12. Looks like I can make both of those, though I'll probably only show for the one on the 18th. Hopin' for heavy down pour.
  13. Nothing wrong with copying Austin. He'll be the first to admit when he copies someone else. And he has once or twice. Flat black looks sharp against the yellow Samo, my hood is right behind. The one I replaced my scooped hood with is shiny black, so I'll paint it to match the sides of my imp. And uh. I can imagine swampers under there alright. lol .
  14. That makes me a little sad, but whatever. What can I do? Next year we'll just have to be more specific when we bargain with them for coverage. LOL
  15. I sent you a pm with my #. Sven's wagon is doubtful in my opinion. . . But I have the Toyota now. !! My buddy Brian has a landcruiser, Ken has his Brat, we might even be able to talk Tex into getting his show car dirty. lol
  16. Should be. Especially now that I have the Toy. That will give Ken extra incentive to get his big Brat offroadworthy again. Got a feeling he'll be out there with it. We tend to have some good fun while we're out there.

I think that one wasn't actually lifted. He crammed some 30s under it, but no lift. He actually showed up to Walker Valley for one of our meets, but left soon after we began offroading. His big tires really limited his turning radius, and the single range 1600 had problems pushing those big suckers.
  18. I have a set of bran new-never touched the cement- set in the garage waiting for the occasional camping trip or snow. That and rally x next year. They kinda suck for daily driving. They're loud, the car handles like crap with 'em on, and I hate wearing on them. Too expensive. I find myself being extra careful on corners so I don't beat up the tread. . . The streets ride nice and quiet and smooth. And I can rip corners like I'm driving an impreza with the 225s. lol I've got a 20mm sway bar I'll throw on the back now that I don't plan on offroading it very harshly. No dual range means too much clutch smoking offroad. It wouldn't be much fun on the trails I like to play on. Now that I've got the toyota for offroad, the imp need never see any except at high speeds. Wheels are from an 05 Baha!! 225/60/16. They're as tall as the 27 inch Kumhos. Really. If I tell ya how much, don't be mad. 250 bucks. yeah. HAD TO BUY THEM!!! Corky, I plan on painting the hood, it has paint splatter on it. Little white blotches. I/m gonna paint it to match the sides and bumpers.
  19. 225/60/16 beeeyoch
  20. DITTO! They've never once asked me to get out of any of my ea81s.
  21. Caleb's been in at least one situation where adding a 20mm to the rear makes the assend a little happy. As in good and sideways at about 60 mph in the imp. I caught it, but there was some pucker factor involved. I'm way more used to it after a couple of years behind the wheel.
  22. All sorts of hard to change yourself. There's a used tire shop in Lake City that will mount them for 10 bucks a tire. Where are you taking your pics? I wanna play. Do your 225s rub?
  23. I know the way around all of your ea82 rear lift problems. Get a Brat or a hatch. lol
