  1. Be pissed, do what you have to do to reclaim your $. But do NOT publish his private info. He has children, several of them, and they did nothing to you.
  2. Ice maybe, but it depends on the tire for snow. I know those Super Swamper SSR and the Coopers are pretty friggin awesome in snow. Siping is all you can really do for ice. I believe they made studs illegal in WA this year. But the deal is. . . there's not a lot of snow that falls in western WA. When there is, it's not usually cold enough to leave much ice, it's usually in the 30s when it snows. As in, Seattle gets about 2-3 days of snow a year. And only 2-6 inches when it does.
  3. Can I name the hatch "prodigal son"? lol Cool to have you around. Stop by on the way thru, beer on me. I'll etcha see the new one. I'll definitely be up for wheeling by then.
  4. Try here: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24980
  5. My belief is that super high rear diffs are for the birds. There's no reason to have 14 inches. Your Y-pipe has to clear first. Basically, your rear diff be no higher than the height of your Y-pipe. We've all heard the hyper extended axle argument. I swear my rigs always did best with the torsion bar and front struts dialed down to minimum. It frees up travel, keeps the wheels on the ground better. (my opinion.)
  6. TOTALLY worth the hour and 3 minutes it took my 56k to download it. VERY cool man! Your hatch sounds sweet man, very jealous. Reminds me to get off my rump roast and get to collaborating with Jibs in earnest.
  7. Sounds like a good oportunity to get some free food. . . and I always love to see Tex and Monica. But, I'm going out of town for the weekend with my family. (god I love to say that)
  8. I'll be heading out to my Father's cabin for the weekend of Sept. 3-5. Just outside of Chimacum, 20 minutes South of Pt Townsend, 23 miles from the Kingston Ferry. We have 7 private acres, lots of cool places for tents. There's a cool little 4X trail right on the property with lots more just a few miles away. There are 2 lakes within 10-15 minutes drive, one for fishin', one for swimmin'. There's all the luxuries within 10 minutes, ie: gas mart, NAPA, QFC, hardware store. With the generator hooked up, we have tv, microwave, coffee maker , lights. Did I mention we have a nice/clean porta poddy?, no crappin in the woods!! Hopefully it rains some between now and then, that allow us to have a big fire Saturday night. Lemme know if you're interested, I'll getcha directions. I'd rather you were 21 if you're driving, but kids are always welcome regardless of age.
  9. Here's what you're looking for.
  10. I always hate these type of "whaaa poor me" threads. You'll find one over at the Old School NASIOC forum about the USMB. Just because one person didnt' have your answer, you hate all of NASIOC. I'm on NASIOC from time to time, I own 2 imprezas. I assure you I'm no punk kid with a ricer car. He never did say "waste of time". . . Looks like he gave you an honest opinion, probably wasn't far off the mark. Good thing for Cobb in your case. But I think your comment was smart assed, pretty uncalled for.
  11. Drivers make the cars competitive.
  12. Indeed. See post # 28 of this thread: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=32579
  13. Keep your little comments to yourself Jon. Unless you want to have to find another machine to log in with. You are totally bannable.
  14. Thanks Flappy's!! Mine showed up yesterday. Very special/limited edition stuff. Now I just need the Summer heat to die down a little so I can wear them. lol the back of the longsleeve The back of the hoody
  15. A battery and a tune up. (plugs, wires, cap and rotor, to get it going.) Yeah, 27/8.50/14. The new Kumhos have a 6 ply sidewall. The ones I just bought are a little different from the ones we have on the XT6. Thanks Shawn, Amy's ready, can you tell? lol
  16. Thanks Mick. It'll need new handles for one of the rear seats. That and the male part of the driver's side seat belt. I'm pretty psyched about how clean it is underneath. Should be easy to apply a lift to it.
  17. Looks like a 4/3 is in store for it. Weber, new Kumhos, paint. probably ebay after that. Very little or no rust baby. Here it is out of the garage.
  18. Pretty cool. It hasn't been on the road since 1997. I drained and changed the gas and oil, changed all of the filters but the gas filter. (schmucks didn't have any, had no time to look elsewhere) It runs sweet. Few more things and it will be ready to drive around. ie: windshield, carpet, little crap. . .
  19. I need 2 or three more of those. Thanks Ed.
  20. Mark Please check your messages and gimme a call. The guy who bought my blue hatch needs a walk thru for an axle change. He's in Olympia. I'll help him, (and he's willing to drive to Seattle so I can) but I may not be around this weekend. He's using it as a commuter between Oly and PDX. Big time appreciated. EZ
  21. I'm still in San Fransisco. lol You didn't see me, maybe I was there in spirit.
  22. Just don't crank up the rear torsion bar and it will sit more level. I personally like the "rake". Check out some photos of some in the "offroad". http://hatchpatrol.com/
  23. The Brat I just bought is my 28th (running) Soob in the last 5 or so years. I can part with them no problem. Out of all of them I only miss the leg wagon we sold to Ken, Bob, and the blue hatch I sold to get the grocery getter. Grass'll be greener, you'll see Brian. p.s. Secretmobile's kick rump roast.
