  1. Glad to here everyone's okay. haven't had the opportunity to actually crash one yet but have seen a few that were hit pretty hard and came out the winner. BTW....how much for the wheels?(just in case:) )
  2. shouldn't take more than a couple hours then. good luck:grin:
  3. getting them out of the car isn't really a problem. however you need a strut spring compressor to disassemble the strut because the replacement is just the strut and not the spring or anything. if you get them out, most shops only charge a couple bucks to swap out the rest. the shop where i work charges $15 a piece i think.
  4. Yeah, you just have to make sure your drink has a lid:lol:
  5. Don't mind Dave, he HAS a EJ20G swapped GL10 and he did the whole drivetrain. I would however state that if you are going to do the swap for ECONOMY then for $1000 bucks you could get the Adapter plate from http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=73232&highlight=ej+adapter+plate and do an EJ22, I did one and should have done it again but i found a pair of Legacys for really fair prices. a 90-94 EJ22 will have an OBD1 system and will have plenty of power to suprise all the little Honda guys. if it is also a 2WD of PT4WD car it will be easier to keep the tires from breaking loose everytime you take off from a stop. My EJ22 swapped car had a FT4WD gear box with 15inch pugs and 195/70r15's and I could still break 'em loose if I tried. If you want shear HP then the EJ20G is the way to go with the EJ tranny and all. A little more expense involved but I've seen Dave car and with the 5lug swap it is a very SWEET looking car. Just my .02 worth
  6. it has been my experience with JDM subaru engines that the intake bolts were not in the same position as the USDM engines
  7. Check all the bolts holding everything together, and also get a 4wheel alignment. If the toe is off( from the top it would look like one of these / \ or \ / or / / or \ \ ) if this is the case then the car won't track straight and will tend to WANDER or OVERSTEER.
  8. Yeah, Mr. "I run superr swampers" http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=73544
  9. fair pricing. i got some here in town for $95 a side. worn out boot on one side and clicking on the other. I would also always go new. just my $.02
  10. I was lookin at the silverstones and am not quite sure if I should invest the money in a set for RallyX or not. I'm going to try to get back into it next season and want to prepare. I saw Qman running some last season and was wondering if any one else ran them, or what they run. I also like to take the little wagon out to Fort Lewis on the tank trails every now and then. SOOOOOO????
  11. Nice lookin' ride. wish I had the money to lower mine. although, lowered really doesn't work off the pavement:-\
  12. they don't even look like subes any more. everything built these days is way to ROUND. what happened to all the angles on a car that made it disguishable from all the other cars on the road?
  13. Okay, i went to the pioneer electronics website. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v3/pg/product/details/0,,2076_310069880_338744290_tab=B,00.html?compName=PNA_V3_ProductDetailsComponent Something i noticed is that the new deck has 3(three) loudness settings(this is basically the new version of BASS BOOST) if the LOUDNESS is not on your stereo will sound like Fudge in a bucket. I'm guessing that since you mentioned that you like to turn up the bass that you also like to turn up the volume. If this is so the loudness not being on will make a huge difference.:-\
  14. OK, first Q.....Did you ride have the factory stereo in it still? Second....Why did you replace other deck(factory or not doesn't matter with this Q) Third...Did you have a a DECK to FACTORY HARNESS adapter? Fourth... Are you sure you got the POSITIVE and NEGATIVE connections correct for ALL OF THE SPEAKERS? (I ask because if the speakers are not connected the same (pos. and Neg.) they will COUNTER ACT one another. LIKE THIS...... good signal...... thump))))))) thump))))))) thump))))))) thump))))))) ....the speakers are all sending the same signal BAD SIGNAL..... thump))))))) thump((((((( thump((((((( thump))))))).....the center two speaker signals are inverted
  15. sorry to hijack...runnin' 195/70 r15's on the legacy, no real off road pics yet(kinda afraid to get it dirty just yet), goodyear cargo vector's. good all around tread for dirt and gravel. had them on my GL for a while and tore up some S**t in that. I'll see if i can find a pic or two.
  16. how's about this..... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=18606
