  1. sorry you miss understood... how do i put a 91 legacy turbo onto my 1986 EA82T engine inplace of my stock turbo.
  2. ok, how would i hook this up on my stock settup, my motor is all stock and i cant weld aluminum unless someone can come and weld it for me.
  3. ok... i want to know what i need and what i need to do to get a 91 legacy turbo to fit onto the 86 turbo coupe? thanks, Shean
  4. what is PB?? thanks, looks like i will go and get what ever that is and start on it today. thanks for the tips. that and i also have to get a clutch alignment tool. wonder how much that will run me...
  5. ok well i would have got my clutch in yesterday at workl, but the guys wimped out and then started to act like a bunch of pricks about helping me. so i barly got the coupe home. anyways they said that 6 out of 10 turbo cars will sheer the studs off the turbo when you try to take off the down pipe, thats why they dont want to help me. well i want to know if this is true, and if it is, what can i do to try to prevent it, just soak it in WD-40 or something? also im going to drop the tranny rather then pull the motor, so is there any other advice you all can point out to me that can make this faster?? or is there anyone that would be willing to come and help, i can suply the food, and a few bucks for ya. Thanks, Shean
  6. ok what is the difference between the turbo and non turbo spider intakes? ive got a N/A one and wanted to put it onto my new coupe. Thanks, Shean
  7. one word: yes it works on otehr engine, why not try a subie now.
  8. the 86 wagon is about 4500 when goofin around or about 3500 around town the 86 turbo coupe, about 5500 when goofing around, and about 3k when crusing town, which is hard to do with that turbo power. Shean
  9. ok then im just going to get a new clutch and everything else, see what kind of deal i can get on that stuff. then just stay after work one day at Aaron's and have Lenny and Shawn help me out since Shawn is doing a clutch in his car sometime this week also. but all i have to say about this car is that it is absolutly AWSOME!!! it hauls so much arse, and i kept up with my buddy with his impreza with the 22 in it and 5sp. then i just got home from hitting this hill called snake hill, all it is is twisties back and forth up a steep arse hell, i was power sliding the car thanks to that LSD, it was ALOT of fun. just cant wait to get some dirt tires and hit this set of old dirt trails by my buddies house.
  10. no this is in my new 86 turbo coupe, how long do you think it will take me to replace it??
  11. see the problem with that is i cant afford it.
  12. well after having some fun, powersliding through the back roads all day, and playing with my friend in his 94 impreza with a 2.2 i started to get a slipping clutch. i can get good used clutches for $35 from Aaron's, and i was thinking of putting one in my car my self, this is the first tiem ive changed a clutch, so what all do i have to do to get this done. and could anyone come and help me knock it out in like a day? i can pay you a few bucks that i have. Thanks, Shean
  13. no im keeping this for now until i graduate college, then i will keep it and get a new STi probally, dunno though, but this car is too much fun to get rid of. vin is JF2AG55B4GE801424
  14. what is the part# for your turbo timer, and what wiring harness are you using, and where do you hook it up to? that is the first thing i am getting, a turbo timer, then A/F gauge, then Boost. so this is very important to me, Thanks, Shean
  15. lol, i try, if i dont like the deal i make sure i get what i want, i can be very persauvive, cunning, and just a pain in the rump roast if i have to. anyways, when i get down ill have to get ahold of you and take you for a ride in it, it already kicked the dog crap out of my buddies 93 ford escort on the way home from school. so im happy with my first kill... he ran 18's in the 1.4 so i have to be in the 17's because i kicked the crud out of him. and i didn't even launch it, i just floored it the same time as him off the line. Anyways, Later, Shean
  16. well here it is, i already got a new fuel filter for it, corner marker lense, impreza seats (like the ones in my wagon), new speakers, and probally a few more things i need to get soon. the only problem is that it doesn't want to idle, so looks as if im going to have to hunt down that problem, other then that it rides really smooth, and is a sweet lil car. not too bad for $380, now i just need to lower it, more boost, the pug 15's, put in the impreza seats, and gauges and ill be about done. Later, Shean
  17. ok im going to put in a Boost gauge, as well as a exhaust temp gauge on my A-pillar, and i need to know what pod to use, if i use the universal, or one for a honda or something. Thanks, Shean
  18. i dont know about a mitsu car, but i know for sure the older body style preludes made by honda has all wheel steering.
  19. ahh ok, then yes i will trade you. when can we meet up to trade, i will be at work, Aaron's tomarrow from 2pm to 5pm, then ill be driving my car home, or if i get the other turbo 86GL i will be at Silers lisencing then home. Later, Shean PS, call me on my cell tomarrow after 10:45am and we can work out a meeting, (206)-799-5926
  20. then looks like im sticking with my BOV, i want to be able to make it back fire a fireball out the exhuast.
  21. by change do you have a spare boost gauge? if you do ill trade you those for my BOV. im kinda leanin on keeping my BOV since i love the sound it makes, but i guess since all my other cars werent sleepers this one will be since no one would expect to be stamped by a old school subie. Later, Shean
  22. well what i figured i would do is take out the motor, and completely rebuild it from the ground up, clean every part, mic everything, new bearings and seals and such, then rebuild the turbo or put that WRX turbo and piping on. or have 2.5inch downpipe and full exhaust made for my car. anyways i will be driving it for a few days like it is, then start the rebuild on ether this motor or get another turbo MPFI longblock and rebuild that one while i drive the car around.
  23. ok ya i think its a HKS sequantial one, its like a $260 part i got for free. then does anyone in the seattle area weld aluminum good enough to weld the BOV onto my intake? or does anyone want to trade me for another BOV that is smaller? Later, Shean
  24. well i got a HKS, i think, blow off valve today for free as well as alot of tubing and such. my question is can i mount the BOV before the turbo, or does it have to be after the turbo and before the throttle body, and if thats the case who in the seattle ares knows how to weld aluminum good.
  25. well i decided against it when i get get a 86 rally packaged GL for under $500 that is turbo, then toss on my RX groundFX, the WRX turbo and intercooler from work, and i would be done after exhaust and lowering. anyways, Later, Shean
