Driving Lights
well the ones i have now are 100w each 6inch round lights i have made a custom mount for out of some steel i had, the tops of the lights are about even with the bottom of the bumper though now. but anyways, any other ideas?

Driving Lights
does anyone reccomend some good rectangler driving lights for my car. i am running some off-road 100watt lights now and are a little too bright since everyone i drive past flashes me. and can you post pictures of what they look like on your car. and the price, im looking for something under $50. thanks guys, well im just pulling parts for now, then get to drive the fork lift, and thats really about it, i get paid 7.50 starting and if i show "Improvement and/or heart for what im doing" raises come quickly.i dunno who got canned, Brian told me some guy did because he was stealing stuff or something. but there is the head guy, sorry im bad with names, then my superior, who's name starts with J... oh well i hope to start soon, just have to tell my uncle at jiffy lube that i got a job MUCH closer to home. let see, basically sea-tac to redmond everyday, or sea-tac to white center... gee i wonder what one i will take... Dim Headlights
ya im just going to get some silver stars, new housings since my driver one is all rusty, and then get some driving lights rather then my rally's i got on the front.

Dim Headlights
well i got that GM alt, and it didn;t change them, also, my voltmeter on the dash is at 12 to 16 all the time when im driving. so any other ideas?? maybe i just need new driver/passenger light housings, because my bulbs are brand new halogens, i think ill get new headlights, then get my sylnviana silver star bulbs.

from the factory it came with a whole in the bottom of the airbox, sorry im bein an rump roast... its carb.

Dim Headlights
ok well since i got my 86 GL wagon i have noticed the headlights are really dim, no matter what bulbs i put in they are dim and i dont really get enough light shining down the road for me. so my ? is why is this happening? thanks for any help, Shean

well i come home from school today to see a call from brian's subaru, i shoot them a call back. well it ends up the other day they said that Aarons was hiring since they jus canned a guy, well it ends up without me knowing brian goes over and talks with the owner, and scores me the job, and calls today to give me the news to head over if i want a job. so i head over, introduce myself, and was given the job and was told to start when ever i want, and i can work when i want. SCORE FOR ME!!! :banana:

lacking on top-end
timing is fine, its always been like this though, i am running timing at about 18 to 20 advanced now and seems a little better. and the cat is fine since i gutted it yesterday, no change since it was hallow.

thanks for that information i think i will go with the thrush then, i got one of their turbo mufflers on my car now at the back, they make good products. and ya i am going to run 4wd the whole track. if i dont post anything else i will post times wednesday night when i get home.

lacking on top-end
well ive really noticed that my car really kind lacks on the top end, like once i hit 45mph it doesn't really pull hard, it will go on a flat part from 60 to 70 in like 5 seconds, but i dunno, hills are my worst enemy. what could i do to help, help the engine breath better by better exhaust, 1 7/8's inch from the heads to a 2inch Y-pipe, to a cherrybomb to a 2 1/4inch tip. since my cat is rusted through badly i need exhaust anyways. also port the intake, since i am rebuilding the hitachi soon also. anything else you can think of??

im going to run 4wd the whole track, then ya ill bump the tires from the stock 28psi to around 34psi, then i can lower it if needed, also do a launch at 5,000rpms. also today i cut a chunk out of my cat, sounds nice and deep mellow now, and it pulls quite a bit harder on the highway speeds and such. so looks like i am going to do 1 7/8's piping from the heads, to a 2inch Y-pipe, to a cherry bomb, and 2.25inch tip out the back.

oh ya i know its slow, but i dont care, i had fun, thats what its about. and when i go back wednesday, im running the stock 13's aired down to 12psi, and a 4wd launch, plus fool more with timing and other stuff.

another accel dead
ive had mine for about a month now, no problems as of yet... just breaking off the psitive post when i first put it in. still enough on there to get it to work which it does. but i always tray to carry atleast one spare of everything i can in the car, timing belts, tetioners, belts, coils, etc...

no i was running my pug alloy 15's with the nismatching sidewall tires, so i was in 2wd the whole time. but wednesday when the finals are, im going to be running my stock 13inch steelie rims with the tires at about 15psi, launching in 4wd. i was running at 89 gas, timing at 12, then about 18 to 20 timing, and launching when the last yellow light CAME ON, thats how slow 2wd is, i would finally cross the line after it turned green, thats why i was getting good R/T times. because also everyone else would launch when the green came on. oh well, i cant wait to go, its going to be SOOO much fun, now that i am running 18 degrees timing, 4wd, and tires aired down. Highschool Drags
well i went to highschool drags at Pacific Raceways on friday, got there at about 2:30pm, had tech inspection, all he did was check for a braclet on my arm, then sat and waited to race. it rained once, we dried the track, and we where underway. when i got up it was so freakin anxious, i launched at a higher RPM then wanted, spun them bad, then hit second better, and kept going. well i kicked the crud out of the honda civic hatchback off the line, (im in 2wd) then he left me, he ran a 15.594, and i see im like 3/4 the way down the track, and bust up laughing to myself. my time... reaction time was .417, ET was 21.638 @ 61.9mph. not too bad for a stock EA82 with a muffler and aftermarket coil. second run, i was up against a V6 90's camaro, i again kicked his butt off the line with a .516 R/T while his was a .589, this time i ran a21.100, he ran a 15.942, i was at 62.58mph he was at 86.17 that time i aired down the tires about 5psi to around 23psi, and advanced the timing to about 20degrees. my best 60ft time was 2.904 which was my second run. not too shabby but heck on the return drive back from the end of the track i had atleast half the crowd cheering, laughing and hollering at me good things, they thought it was funny as hell, same as me. but it ends up after the 2 runs we went to finals, we where sitting waiting for the rest of the field to run, and the rains hit again. so it ended up being rained out till next wednesday, so i got the day off so i can go down and finish up and find my placment. altogether it was a great day, had a BUNCH of fun. also ends up i was 2nd slowest car there, but i had the times that where closest together so far. Power is back!
since your gonna fun a fridge, and stereo search under my name for a GM alt Conversion. i just put in a 90amp alt i had lyin around when i had my 760w stereo, im still running the alt. but sent the stereo back because of a blown voice coil. so now im running a 110w amp to my 6X9's

The Scooby replied to The Scooby's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXsame here but i let my mom barrow my digital camera, the one day i saw this sweet car. most every day there is atleast 1 360 Modena , lots of sweet bikes, lots and LOTS of old cars. and then this sweet old like 72, as i dubed it, Pimp Daddy Caddy, big olf built up 500ci V8 in it, white drop top, flat black car, old style flames, white walls with red painted steelie rims, and lights them every day when he goes by. then a sweet HUGE lifted yota on like 37's that left 60ft long twin black marks down the road, then when it back fires it sounds like a .45 going off lol

nice RHD legacy today
well i went into work in redmond today to grab my check and goof around a little with my friends. well on my way back to my wagon i see this white legacy wagon pull up, but no driver, so im thinking this is weird, well i keep looking as i wal by, and notice the steering wheel on the right side. so i stop and talk with the guy, ends up it is a 2.5lt engine with a fattie T04 turbo settup with around 450hp at the wheels, short shifter, STi tranny, borla exhaust (sounded bad arse) etc. was on some sweet rims, white paint with a pearl in it, tinted windows, etc. so watch out for it.
