Caboobaroo replied to pearlm30's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThats all we use at the shop I work for. I have seen them go to the 105k miles timing belt mileage just fine.

parking brake on 97 Outback
Caboobaroo replied to 1-3-2-4's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThey look low but if they're adjusted up properly, check the cable adjustment under the center console behind the parking brake cable.

03 Outback rear lugs sheared off
Caboobaroo replied to idosubaru's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXGary, once the rear caliper and rotor are removed, unbolt the ABS tone ring from the hub and take care not to hit it as it'll crumble. Once the tone ring is out of the way, pound them out and I use an open ended lug nut and some washers to help pull it back into the hub once the new studs are slid into it.

What Relay To Use For Aftermarket Horns?
On my XT6, I used a fuel pump relay from an EJ harness I had. Cut the pigtail and relay right off the harness and wired it in. Before, the Hella Supertones I have didn't work and I checked the whole system. Installed the relay and works like a champ.

Rear drivers side sagging, tire rubbing...already have new struts?
Caboobaroo replied to idosubaru's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThe Baja rear springs will actually lift the back end about 3/4" so be prepared for a nice rake!

Had a Good time at WCSS
I had a good time but I was very tired and grumpy. Guess that's what I get for staying up until midnight Friday to get my car polished out. Even I was surprised my girl's Outback sedan took first in its class, along with my XT6 and my roommates STi. House full of win:headbang:

car is vibrating while accelerating ??? not tires
Caboobaroo replied to jheat71's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXTHIS!!!!! And don't use aftermarket ones or you will have the same issue. If its really bugging you, get original Subaru axles and be done with it. I have a set of brand new aftermarket axles I pulled from a '05 Outback 2.5i that caused a nasty vibration. New set of OEM axles and no more vibration.

If you happen to come across another set of tailights in mint shape, I would be highly interested!

Pictures of emblems on the rear - Leone III
Not quite the same font as the ones the OP is looking for in the pic. The ones in the states were more of a box font whereas it appears the ones he's looking for are more rounded. I had the last set of red "4WD TURBO" decals for an '85 GL turbo wagon in the states and they went with it when I sold it.

I don't think that decal was available in the states but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Interest in EA82 Whiteline swaybars?
They do have 22 and 20mm bushings, maybe a couple other options but only because they share a similar design as other Japanese manufactures.

Interest in EA82 Whiteline swaybars?
Pretty much my thoughts. BUT... No need to fear, I am going to go back to do more research and see if I can come up with an alternative.

Interest in EA82 Whiteline swaybars?
Well.... I just got an email back from the head Whiteline guy here in the states. Here is the email I sent him earlier today. Hi Jan, Still interested in a set of swaybars and I also have over 10 people that are interested in them also depending on the price. If you could shoot me a rough number for the cost per set and the cost for a set of 10, that would be great! I also wanted to add that I work for a shop in Kirkland, WA called All Wheel Drive Auto that is an authorized Whiteline dealer. Let me know! Thanks, Russ O'Bannan And the response... Russell, Unfortunately the bars have been discontinued long enough ago that the jigs have since been destroyed. They would not be able to make the bars again without extensive R&D all over again. Interest in EA82 Whiteline swaybars?
All right, I've had a couple PMs over the last couple days about them as well. I'm still trying to get a price from Whiteline on a set of bars but it looks like I have over 10 people tentative depending on price so hopefully they can give me a rough number on how much each set would be. The instant I know, I will post up a price per bar and/or set as I also have people over on SubaruXT interested as well.

lowering springs?
Never cared about spring rates myself because I used them just for the ride height change. I found them for '93-'01 Impreza. I plan to eventually go with a full coil over setup on both cars down the road.

locked out of trunk, how to open from inside trunk? o/b sedan
Caboobaroo replied to themoneypit's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXBack seats don't fold down... Found that out by experience. I believe there is the inside release lever that glows in the dark made for people that would somehow find themselves stuck in their trunk lol.

2003 H6 wagon - Steps for getting A/C working again
Caboobaroo replied to teppichkopf's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThey are also known to leak around the pressure fittings on the hoses. Very common issue that I've seen numerous times. Check the hoses for any oily spots around the fittings and if there is, replace and recharge.

I just searched up ones for an Impreza and found both sets for under $100. I had to be patient when I was looking for my second set but I found them.

How to identify a Gen3 head...
The exhaust ports have a bit more metal in them as the most common issue is the coolant jacket to crack into the exhaust port.
