QMan's right, I know you didn't need me to say that, but at times it gets if-y for me. Granted my cooling system is well below par (time for a new radiator) Aside from cooling issues if you have them, a turbo will run stuff over and be fun. I say lift what you've got!

I like it!

That was an awesome run! Thanks for sharing. Definately show us the aditional footage, if you get the chance.

I don't have a light and I definately don't like slipping into 4WD when driving around. If there was snow on the ground (like there should be) then this wouldn't even be a problem.
-
Thanks a lot, Ed. I'll take a look at it.

My car just started slipping into 4Hi when driving around. I'm thinking it's got to be the linkage - I haven't taken the time to look at it, but does loose linkage sound like the right diagnosis?

Care to divulge?

Do you have any pictures of the beast?

Tom Dunn - If you look into this further, please let me know I'm interested in what he can do as far as a 'kit' is concerned. I would love to see some Legacy's lifted around the U.S.

Is this on your EA82T? Did it do anything for the LowEnd? -
83 GL Turbo Wagon - Leaking coolant
MSSLGECKO replied to pixogen's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
My car is an 83 Turbo and has the factory recall water & oil cooled turbo. I had a leak about a week and a half ago. It came from a turbo coolant line. As far as I know there is no heat shielding that needs to be removed. I removed and replaced the hose w/out removing anything else. It was a hell of a little doosy; I spent about 4 hours removing and replacing the short hose. It was undude to say the least. However, it can be done - I had to access it from both above and below. (note: I have a slim build and w/out my skinny arms, I would have had a rough time comparatively.) Good luck! -
Alignment & Camber Question

Yeah, that's kinda what I'm thinking here. -
Alignment & Camber Question
MSSLGECKO replied to MSSLGECKO's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
New tires and the car is mechanically sound as far as I know. The wheels are definately not looking quite right. I could take a photo from the front of the car and you could tell (infact I will if I can find a DigiCam.) Anyother suggestions as to why my Camber would be off? -
I am thinking it may be a good idea here. But I have a couple questions. 1. You have to have the necessary equipment to do an alignment, right? (As in - I would need to take it to a shop to have it done?) 2. Would having my alignment off have anything to do w/ the fact that my front wheels seem to have camber issues? Thanks guys, always a help

That would be a sick rig. Someone, do it. Granted, I would have that as a second RX not the first. Just take one that is getting a little too old [have we proven that that cannot happen yet?] and put the lift on there. First one to do this is the man.

Still haven't gotten to it - schoolwork and all. I'm kinda thinking that turbo cooling line sounds promising. As for the in/out hoses directly on the radiator - all looked well around that area. I'll see what I see,

I think that the actual sensor in the gas tank can get dirty and not function properly. Mine works intermittently (although this winter it's working great) but I believe that is the issue. Could possibly be your guage, but I'll bet it's the sensor. Good luck,

Driving around last night and started seeing way too much steam coming out of the engine bay. I stopped and took a look (in the dark w/ a mini-light) and I could only see wetness and steam. I couldn't tell where it was coming from. It was coming down onto the pass. side head. So, I'm not too sure where it would come from. I will look at it further today or tomorrow, but I would like to hear if anyone has a good guage on where it might be coming from. Thanks,

If you're talking about the Black Rubber piece on the rear fender, then it came w/ the car, just look around, I'm sure that someone on the board could help you out. I really want a piece like that on the front fender, I think it would look damn slick. - Anyone have any good ideas of how/where to make/get one of those?
-
I like that you wouldn't know that it was adjusted at all just looking at it. It looks almost perfect. These tires made the car for me.

Alright, I got some pic.s taken of the Subaru w/ it's new tires. The tires are Cooper Discoverer LT 27x8.50R14. The trim job on the front fenders is very subtle (how I want it) Front Wheel : Rear Wheel (No Trimming) : Let me know what you all think of the new look!

Bozeman, MT - Snow Trip ?
MSSLGECKO replied to MSSLGECKO's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Let's do it - Anyone else want in? I know Tailgatewagon is in Bozeman and there are probably some I don't know of. -
Just got back into town w/ some new tires and a taste for some deep snow. Two-part questiont here: 1 - Who want's to go into the mountains? 2 - Where are some good spots 'round here in the snow? I know there are a few of you guys around here that like to rally your Subaru's, let's do this.
