  1. Which starters will fit on my EA81T? Will EA81, EA82 and EA82T starters work? How about the Starter Soleniod itself? Which ones can I use? Thanks
  2. So it's just about time! What I need to figure out is which radiator from who? Money is an object which escapes me 99% of the year, so cheaper is better, but I also want to keep the rig cool. So, where to get it, and what kind (EA81/EA82). My car is an EA81T, so let me know your opinions and experiences! Thanks
  3. If this is possible, then Morgan you are a genius. I have no idea is this could work but I like the idea.
  4. I'm looking at picking up some Liberators in about a month or so, I'll let y'all know what I think. Watch for it, Zap.
  5. This is something that you would get a search result for for about every week since 1999. So, I'll say search. But to answer, w/out a lift, they will fit (I think) but will rub horribly. To mount 27's or 28's on a 3" Lifted car, people usually have to trim their fender. This is not gospel, I haven't tried it myself, but this is what I have gathered reading the big wheel w/out lift posts.
  6. Yeah, well, I'll see how things go. Thanks for the input!
  7. What is pricing like on the Coopers?
  8. Okay, thanks guys, I suppose that I'll just go shoppin' around. That's what I'm thinking.
  9. Let's just say my tires are balding and I don't have the money for the SSR's that I would love to have. Anyone have experience w/ cheap Offroad tires such as (not limited to) Walmart ones? I want something that will pull offroad and will also do nicely on the highway. Any suggestions? Size needed are ~27" R14 Thanks P.S. This forum rules.
  10. Hey, that's some good info. Thanks for doing the mini-writeup. I have a question: My '83 EA81T does something similar to a smaller degree. Every once in a while, the headlights don't come on when i turn the knob. then I flick it back and forth and they come on after a try or two. If I ever want to address this issue, is that where I should start? (I'm pretty sure I don't have a dimmer....havent seen my car in months)
  11. I don't have a clip for you, but I know I found a clip of a dude, camera in hand, doing a straightline acceleration in an automatic EA81T somewhere on the board or in the galleries(most likely spot.) I am going to go ahead and say that the clip I saw definately didn't do the EA81T I got later justice. Hope you can find some clips.
  12. One of two things that I can think of: 1. Your EA81T just isn't as cool as the rest of ours. 2. Something is awry with your turbo unit. Can't you swap EA82Turbos in? Maybe trying a j/y turbo would help. Or just go for a boost controller - $15 or so. I don't have an aftermarket turbo guage so I don't know what mine is as, but it looks good on the subaru guage. Goodluck.
  13. Something like that will definately be hungry for an EA81T (or 82T). Would be a sweet ride!
  14. I've always been a fan of the "Subaru drivers do it on all fours" But that's just me.
  15. I am in love with my 3/4 lifted EA-81T wagon w/ a 5 spd. D/R. It's got some bald 25" tires and it handles the road great, I like the turbo power and works well for offroading w/ the D/R. Tailgate: My car is currently in Missoula, but when I get it out to Bozeman (going to school here) we will have to go out for some offroading in the Sube's. Good luck w/ the lift.
  16. That's sweet. What's the good word on future availability and pricing? There may come a day, that I . . . . can afford something over $5.
  17. Any chance that something like that would fit on something like....oh say an EA81T? That looks great, should sound pretty cool too. Nicely done on getting that stuff fab'd, WJM!
  18. Sounds pretty interesting, keep us posted and good luck!
  19. That should prove to be a pretty sweet car. Hope all goes well w/ it! I just read this post and was just about to ask the same question. My friend is sounding interested in a lift kit for a 96 Legacy. I haven't been able to find much out on the BYB site about that model Legacy being lifted. Any chance we could do it w/ a kit through you? (fingers crossed)
  20. All I've got is a cat. conv. and no muffler on my EA-81T with 2.5" pipes and I love it. The turbo muffles well and it is not too loud, although it'll bark if I want it to. It's not exactly quiet, but it's not unbearingly bad, I like it a lot, I'd say do it.
  21. That's a good lookin' daily if you ask me, but I'll drive anything. How's the TurboWagon's coming along, Shawn? Being the owner of one of those lifted ea81t beasts myself, I've been curious how your turns out for a while but haven't seen much from you. Update?
  22. It's true.I think that a full coat of flat black primer on the entire body of the car, save viewing holes (front windshield) including lights to prevent any reflection Especially from a 'authority' vehicle. We will call you STEALTHRIDER
  23. Based on moral grounds, I will not encourage you to do underage, underliscensed, drunken RWD burn outs in a FWD/4WD car. The carnage is just not worth it. However, once you get your liscense, I will fully encourage it. Good luck not getting arrested!
  24. can anyone verifiably say what stock camber is on the subaru's - for EA-81 & -82 ? Just curious.
  25. I have interest (no current funds). What would the cost be? And which models?
