weber questions
Depends on its tune, jetting and your right foot. I can go 208 miles on a tank in town hammering the accelerator every chance I get... I also ran a friend around the oregon coast. Total of over 800 miles... two tanks (mostly highway) This is on my EA82 sedan with 32/36DGEV

Old fuel question...
Thanks guys! It just needs a reseal. Theres so much oil leaking out, especially out of the rear main that the clutch is soaked and not able to function correctly... its an... interesting driver to say the least haha.

is it EA 81 or EA 82?
http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=115825 http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=74203 Best thing I can offer is the search button... Search EA81, EA81 motor, EA81 engine, etc... Read some build threads of BRATs... Good cars, not for the tall people but I dont have that issue, Id like a BRAT someday. Did you know that BRAT is an acronym? Bi-Drive Recreational All-Terrain Transporter

is it EA 81 or EA 82?
FROWN!? The EA81 is an incredible motor. Arguably the 2 best motors Subaru made was the 1990-1994 EJ22 and the EA81 Agree with Woods, weber swap it or talk to GeneralDisorder, he SPFI swapped his EA81 wagon and also EA82 SPFI swapped a Brat

Old fuel question...
I havent gotten around to resealing the EJ22 in my sisters 1990 Legacy, but I have to start since were passing it on to another family member in about a month... Its been sitting since mid February after it dumped a grand total of 6qts of 10w/30 from Hillsboro OR to Great Wolf Lodge in Washington and back... grand total of 245 miles. Used just over half a tank though, not bad Questions: With just under half a tank left of fuel.. Im gonna put the tires (flats getting fixed) back on and move it out of the garage for a bit... Do I need to/Should I drain the fuel out or is 3 months still decent gas? Its been started a few times to make sure the battery isnt dead... At what age should I change the fuel out (for future reference) if its been just sitting? Is it safe to pump it through the fuel line to drain it? Should I then run a system cleaner through it when I fill it?

Ea82 dash clock ipod upgrade! Now with pics!!!!
Nice! I miss my subs most of the time. I had a 1000W phoenix gold amp and 2 RF punchs (10"s) and I loved it... Next BIG sound system I put in, Im getting new seals so I dont sound like the honda civics that rattle everywhere.

1986 GL Sedan - NED
Whoo hoo I like this section! Purpose built for Members Rides and the mods done. Now (although slow) I can start modding Ned and doing improvements or non-improvements as the case may be. Beware, PICTURES in the first few posts! This is Ned, I purchased him from GeneralDisorder with 164K: After the 2.5" Glasspack was installed (OBK25XT) I bought a set of 15" recessed Peugeot wheels: And still enjoyed the time offroad: Still did great in the snow with the D/R: Bought and installed some 6000K HIDs: Left my windows open and found my cat in approval of NED: Sold my peugeots Still had fun offroad: Found a local Subaru group to hang out with: Simple mod; painted my wiper arms: As he currently sits with the tinted tail-lights: There will be more to come! Have some modifications/additions coming up soon and hope to have quite a few things done/improved before WCSS14

is it EA 81 or EA 82?
But is it a wagon, hatch, Brat? Could be an EA81 swapped EA82 or a hatch or Brat Wagons, sedans should be EA82 by 1986 here.

Weber Carb question?
Read the notice at the top of the 80s section too. Seems Redline is having adapter mixups.

88 GL bounces when idling
Not entirely. My EA82 runs at about 800 but under the hood it says the idle should be 700-800 and when I was in GDs shop, he tuned the carbs to hit about 750-800 Edit: My car doesnt bounce like youre saying, but it does chug a little below 700 but no bouncing... Are you able to get a video of it doing this?

I found a N/A loyale dyno run video
Id get so mad driving an 3AT lol no offense to you guys that do, but Id hate it... 4EAT and 5EAT are decent but other than that, 5 speed and hammer it all the way.

I found a N/A loyale dyno run video
When I go 0-60 it doesnt feel super long... like under 10 seconds, but I could be wrong haha, Ive never timed it... soon...

I found a N/A loyale dyno run video
I hate dynos. I should go get Ned dyno'd since he feels like more than 65HP...

EJ-22 swap, Project Loyale
More info on those mounts? Will they bolt in on the EA stuff still or is it just the EJ motor? Wagon continues to look amazing!

Hi everyone, I'm new
Autozone will have them... But if you want them shipped its part number 9392PT for the Fel-Pro permatorques... You can chose them on ebay or Amazon.com or probably any online parts store... Dont forget to have your heads machined and do brand new seals, water pump and timing belt (might as well) reseal the oil pump to avoid ticking lifters, fix other leaks etc... might as well and if youre a bit on the "can have car down and money to spend" ship your cams off to Delta Cams for a torque grind (research this to find out specifics) and youll get a noticeable improvement in hill climbing power (optional obviously)
