88HatchMonster: maybe this spring/summer you could help me build up a frame for one of my spare xt6's and we can lift that up a bit... might be able to trade you xt6 running gear parts

hitchhiking in the northeast in winter sucks. I hope people are nicer around you than they are around me...

Ratio of running vs. non-running subarus
operose replied to Snowman's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
guess it depends on the definition of running and non-running... legacy wagon - daily driver xt6 - runs, just won't drive because i'm in the middle of the longest tranny swap EVER xt6 - runs and drives but no title and so rusty I'd be afraid to drive on street.. this is a parts car xt6 - runs and drives but front control arm is fubar'd due to it lashing out at a honda -
unfortunately I don't have any information for you, but I can tell you that there has been mention of some justy-specific message board... you might want to do a search for just "justy" and see if you can find it

1978 Subaru Restoration
operose replied to thewestsidegroup's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
let me get this straight... you need ALL the body panels, ALL the trim pieces, the ENTIRE engine, and the COMPLETE drivetrain? what exactly is it you're starting from again, 4 wheels? dont want to be mean, just maybe if you could specify exactly what you need these kind folks could help you out -
my '91 legacy just started doing this.... yesterday when I was late for work.. I suspect the battery that's been in it since before I got it, that sat for an entire winter without a charge... but haven't had a chance to get it tested. I'll do that after work oh btw a jumpstart will always get it started, but sometimes it takes about 10-15 minutes of fiddling with the jumper cables to get a good connection, even though I wire-brushed the ************ out of the connectors.

my friends think I'm crazy... showed some of them up in the legacy today.. ended up busting the exhaust and flattening all the tires but I showed them!!!!! (btw the legacy is my stock daily driver... with street tread, and and auto.. and it walked right up (From a stop at the bottom) this steep snowy moss covered hill that my friend's mazda pickup wouldn't make it up if you hit it at 30) go out there and rage it and you will make some believers. I'm going back to this place they showed me today, tomorrow, for some pics
