ok guys...here's what's up. 96 legacy LS with a telescoping antenna. at least i USED to have a telescoping antenna. What's the protocol for transplanting a non-telescoping mast onto a car with a factory telescoping mast? i'm looking at something like this http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductDetail.aspx?MfrCode=MRA&MfrPartNumber=44US01R&CategoryCode=3531 it's one of those little rubber whip antennas. any help is appriciated guys....as always.

wow guys....serously....i mean..seriously i chopped them all last night right before i went to bed so i could wake up in the morning and read people comments. i didn't even do it to try and fool people. Anyone know if there's any olf footage around of the old legacy 555 rally car?

ok...taking the seats out should have NO weight as to whether or not to do the work. i can take all 3 seats out of my car and put them back in 10 minutes. it's only 4 bolts per seat.....that's just laziness. and it sounds like all it is is that you need new break lines which is a common maintenence issue with older vehicle. i'd go to another mechanic.

i suppose it's possible that they fit UP TO 2000 which would make it fit a 99 which possibly has smaller spring diameters. maybe get a set for a 2001-2004?

well, not with those particular springs. get the ones that fit right and i wouldn't have an issue.

I never even THINK about waving to WRXers; they're a different breed. but every time i see an SVX, or a Legacy GT, or a moded Legacy i really WANT to wave, but never do. I'm a big chicken. Something I've noticed: WRXers: always seem overly cocky and don't seem to understand exactly what they're driving. also, if you crawl under the dash under the steering wheel and look up at the wiring with a flashlight near the outer wall, there's a little black button that, if you hold it in, will lock and unlock the door automatically a few times and then stop. your lights will stop flashing as well.

that doesn't look safe. my guess would be that you got the wrong parts.. it happens. not that i know anything.

i'm pretty sure this is a super old thread, but none-the-less, how are those Tripple Treads running? my old boss still won't keep them in stock because he thinks they're a gimmick.

i wish my legacy did 0-60 in "impossible" ...maybe that's what that "Teleport" button does on the side of my shift knob. I never thought to actually push it to see what it does.

if you have a bad Cat the chances are that it's shredded inside and you need a new one. no amount of chemicals in a bottle will fix that.

trust me.. if the AWD wasn't working you'd know it. you'd peel out at almost every stop, nevermind a mud puddle.

i bought scoobyclimbs' set of speakers out of his 01 outback. he has the tweeters with it, but i don't really care about being able to hear the drummer's stick actually making contact with a cymbal. i just want to hear the crash.
