  1. bravo....sorry about the swiss cheese rear end. those hubcaps are sweet too, nice score
  2. i will as soon as i stop ramming stuff with it lol. its addicting when youve got a lego shell in the driveway. consequently, i also need to make it strait again. beautification will follow functionality.
  3. ya, we have testing, due in august. and i hate cels. ima swap crap around tonight and see what happens. good news: got tires on lockdown, just need mounted on the shadow mags
  4. axle grease in the tap. catch the shavings.

  6. ok, so it was gone. it came back 5 minutes later. wth is goin on? do the solenoids go bad? i have extras, maybe ill try that tonight. btw its still in the stored codes and not active (d check). am i not leaving the battery unhooked long enough? no bananas yet...................
  7. thanx for the help there Tom. ok, ive unhooked the battery after confirming i have a stored code34 again (white connectors, not green D check ones). ill check it in an hour or so, and hopefully post some bananas later. also, new alternator (oreillys) has some weird dealy on the back that hooks to the batt line........que?
  8. thanx homie, its got potential. first though I need to deal with some issues that come with a 260k soob that was not as cared for as well as one would hope. no rust so thats good. so: I had a code 34 . i put in the best egr/vacuum diaphragm I had, cleaned intake out and yet cel is still there. i also got 5 shorts but my chilton has no 'code 5'. is could this be a result of the modified exhaust? whats up folks, ive never had spooky codes on my ea82s...............
  9. yup, all ea82 fenders swap around. mouldings may differ but fenders will fit
  10. +1 Bill, Id like to do the same and even though its not too difficult, im lazy.
  11. i just bought your cars twin, same year, dr, color, blah blah.
  12. Welp (sniffle), sold off my (wifes) beloved 86 gl loaded w options that ive only seen on that car. and bought something else to play with. pics will come soon. its got a resealed ea82 with some serious spunk for one of these. it came with a a spare motor to rebuild, punched cats, debaffled muffler. its got a CEL, and was overcharging when I bought it. i took it out, tried to throw in my maxima alt, i had the wrong one(95A). put orig back in and no overcharge. I found rust in the crappy plastic rad, scored an ALL METAL DUAL CORE from a touring loyale turbo wagon this weekend. it needs a bunch, but its a good start. also has a sweet battering ram bumper. Perhaps Tom (TheLoyale) wouldnt mind throwing the pic up here, Nudge). my phone is incapable of such things, or my brain is. more to come............... RV
  13. if abe doesnt get it(he will) ill come get it. id at least like the motor. anyway lmk
  14. if you can find it out here ill go cut that beezy out myself (i dont have cordless sawzall so pnp wont really work). where the hell did all this rust come from!!?? shoot, i bet wes' wagon had a good piece. shoulda woulda coulda huh?
  15. i dont mean hanging brakes, i mean where the cable goes around the cv axle.
  16. check your e-brake cables. mine have made some noise whilst rubbing in similar situations (dont ask, i bend stuff) if not i vote for lower ball joint. hth
  17. as opposed to the rest of that poor little car. its seen better days, but the best are yet to come. hooptastic.
  18. yup, we pulled it off a 92 maxima i was scrapping (front clip donor). it now has a soob emlem from an 83 gl on it:cool: MOAR PICS OF THE LAXIMA!!!!
  19. 460? no. Allison turbine engine ala blackhawk helicopter. then you can measure fuel in hours instead of gallons.
  20. makes me want to go back to Richardsons Ranch. Been there yet? I went as a kid and got lots of limbcast and thundereggs on a big hippy tribe/family road trip. If I ever leave WA and dont go back to MT itll be Oregon for sure. btw i like your two tone
  21. word, i hear ya there. that said i dont know how many times i (or wifey) have opened the door into poles/ gas pumps etc. perhaps i should be more careful
  22. get on ebay or amazon and get a paraut (parout?). anyway: made in japan=good made in china=bad.
  23. ..............my bad lol. the mouldings serve a purpose y'kno. you like door dings? post scuffs (car ports)? if you do delete them i would (quite humbly of course) recommend that you replace them with another moulding. i dont think width is as necassary as height for protection. youve put a whole bunch of hours on that rig, it would be a pity to ding it up.
  24. what brand plug wires are you using? l series cars MUST have ngks. if not, prepare for suck. speaking of which, got any vac leaks??
