  1. whitey has adjustable front struts. hes an 86 gl wagon
  2. should i make it, im bringin a 2" lift single range loyale wag. what kind of "offroading are we talkin? i wanna hit trails, but id like to not do a field tear down. I guess what im saying is if its "walker rough" I probably should sit out. Not that any of this should in any way affect anyone else.
  3. or, swap the back wheels to the front so the front has nice rubber and tow that **************** backwards
  4. finally stopped rainin huh? lookin good hombre. get back to work. RV
  5. you could also puncture the pistons to push the bumper closer to flush. my brother did it w his scirocco. just remember to screw/bolt it in that position
  6. i wonder if late 80s maxima body kits would work. i say one at the jy the other day, shoulda busted out my tape measure
  7. you are correct. changing motors will not change your trans =). banana
  8. im good on struts then, and there is a resistor in the clocks that goes bad. only gl10/ turbo cars had adjustible headrests. they also have extra adjustments for the drivers seat
  9. grab the y pipe, the yards cut em up. how are the rear struts? (i need some lol). grab the 02 sensor and any other sensors you can come up with. snag the clock, then resolder it. does it have a high-rise center console? center caps. just a few ideas. RV
  10. i didnt. a quick looksee said they were compatible so i used the one from the lego. my old one was a aftermarket one anyway.
  11. see now, thats a cool idea. it occured to me after defending my 'flip the spare' idea that had i skills and a welder, ida been in your boat. let us see what you come up with, and see if you cant get it to act structurally as well. RV
  12. during garage clean out i took a break and did a GAS CAP MOD!!!! now my loyale tops out at 140 =). seriously tho, 1st gen lego gascap (unlooseable) on my lifted wagon. I love it when a silly idea works (thanx Sam). i had to persuade the top of the recessed area a little to allow it to fold in properly, but its good now.
  13. I didnt know if my mitsu wheels were gonna fit. so i took one over to a soob in the yard and took a long hard look at it and decided it would.Or i couldve knocked out a couple studs and really checked. that said, I can see where this method would be less useful if there were in fact, no subarus in the area the wheels are. ps 91 montero steelies work great http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z146/1992Roo/Mobile%20Uploads/12041995004.jpg RV
  14. ive seen this on some vdubs: its called an "interfooler" its for intimidation:Flame:
  15. i would be interested to see what one could come up with that fullfills all benifits of le donut whilst weighing less. i tried a few different things (fullsize 13'' was too small in center and too tall). i also ziptie a gallon of coolant in a horizontal position near the PS strut tower (ziptie handle to ''strut tower brace''/spare rack). donut spare=not heavy (or remove rubber? to each their own. im not tryin to troll or even convert anyone (nobody said i was =) just clarifying my solution to a few cubic feet of real estate that exists in our quirkmobiles cheers, RV
  16. the donut does serve a purpose. it becomes a ''tray'' for a whole kit of usefull things. it just happens to fit snug and doesnt require modding anything, unless you count the tiedown bolt delete. also it acts as an isulator so i know nothings gonna burn up in there
  17. i flip a donut spare upside down and put a jug of coolant, tow cable, extra belts, and oil in it. the hood still closes and actually holds the cargo in place.
  18. the guy you talked to was me lol. the block is together but the pistons are out.
  19. whatever you end up doing just make sure you disassemble the broken motor first before you split up another SB. that way if its too much of a pita you still have a plan B instead of plan A and a half
  20. yup, ill be in touch RV
  21. assuming youre talkin to me. and assuming you mean decals, no charge. some just fell off the vynil cutter this afternoon. oh, before i forget: when you put''subaru alliance'' in the blue on the bottom of the door you shouldnt cut the words out of the blue and have the cars paint be the words. put on your blue vynil, then put ''subaru alliance'' in white on top. make sense? easier visually. this way its waaaay easier to position.
  22. prolly between 7 and 830
  23. you cant see em but the bruise is rollin new pads all the way around too. gonna be relplacing calipers in the near future, along with new rear rotors:D
