on a 2" lift there is no need to extend steering linkage, nor do you need to drop your diff/engine xmember/trans mounts. anything bigger than 2" and you need to do those things. RV- BOSS 2" EA82 Lift Kits- $100!!!
thats awesome, way to go bill. ill be in touch RV- BOSS 2" EA82 Lift Kits- $100!!!
its about time i see a 2" lift w/o tabs in the back. mine slip on the pass side from time to time. it messes up my strut top. (i have a homebuilt lift, go figure). so.... how much for just some rears? is this price sticking around or just a special? i could prolly buy a whole kit when the man gives me back my taxes. well all I can say is that it was great to finally commit to going w the soob crew (let alone HP) and not waffle out or blow a hg. we had a great time in the mtns with you guys/gals. we even rescued a pretty stuck/sunk wrangler with my pos loyale. the guy promptly got it stuck again about 800 feet down the hill. pics to come. we cant wait to go again RV- when putting 14's on my gl wagon
its all good buddy, we all started somewhere. and we all (myself waaaay included) have somewhere to go. let us know if we can help. RV- when putting 14's on my gl wagon
ok man, welcome aboard. we are glad to have more enthusiasts in our midst, however most of the q's/threads you have can be searched for and answered. these questions get asked weekly and almost daily. furthermore if you are having issues with the search function (I have), try googling your q and a USMB thread usually comes up anyway. also you may want to just have one thread about your soob so that all of the questions can be addressed parralel one another instead of plugging up the new threads page. the 'bruise family will be there. hope that doesnt discourage anyone. will the permit office be open? ive tried to go there on weekends to get driving permits and it was closed. must be different this time of year...... RV- skylar from washington
nice rack! and welcome. if you ever need any hands on help with that thing im up in parkland, so not too far from ya. i just escaped appartment life and got a REAL garage. i drive two EA82s and have a bunch of spare crap. RV- Question, drilling alloy rims?
ahhh. my blasted lack of attention span has caused me to miss that part. apparently i always assume i know what im talking about. i drilled my wheels. i was wondering why it was so easy for me. damn, im not a superhero RV- Just saw a big subaru offroad truck? WTH?
Ill betcha he EJed that thing, or maybe a 3.6 h6. RV ok maybe not- Question, drilling alloy rims?
wow i must have missed something, i used a 1/2" bit on my steelies. i dont remember if i had to hog the hole or not. its snug, but it fits. also, i did the whole job with my craftsman 19.2v 3/8 drive by hand. wouldve been nice to have a drill press. RV- Just saw a big subaru offroad truck? WTH?
are those honda badges on the upper section of the gate? perhaps this is a rally/moto x support vehicle/ enthusiast? RV- Rubbing sound after replacing axle
Subruise replied to porcupine73's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXjust a thought, i had a simalar issue with my loyale wag. I had neglected to route me e-brake cable correctly upon re-instulation. check that thing. hth RV- Subaru must have been nuts!!!
even if two completely different motors are happy at the same rpms, their respective characteristics in regards to mpg/hp/torque are not really compatible. or at least not as far as i can tell. the discrepancies compound when you start having multiple motors in one platform (ie stock gl vs ej swap) however, your idea on peak torque creating better mpg than peak hp i believe to be accurate. happy vets day, RV- The Awesome Older Generation Picture Thread
yes the slammed brat was already posted. however I, much like yourself am to lazy to go sifting thru to figure out which post. but ya it got posted. RV- Subaru must have been nuts!!!
your panda wagon has a ej25 not a ea82 so the "efficiency band" if you wanna call it that, is going to be different even tho you have the same chassis/body. as far as the turbo tranny getting better mpgs..... i dunno RV- Maximum Tire Size on 15" Rims + 2" Lift?
good point VB, im using '91 mitsubishi (i know) montero wheels. the offset is real close to stock offset. RV- Maximum Tire Size on 15" Rims + 2" Lift?
im currently unable to get any pics up w/o a pc at home. you can search my posts/threads. my fenders are cut similar to One Eye's yellow wagon. I will say this tho, I cut my fenders before getting those tires. I origionally had 235/75/r15s and couldnt cut/beat enough to make them fit so all my info is potentially worthless. sorry about that. IMHO if you wanna go bigger and not cut fenders (your car rocks, my car is beat and ugly) i would go taller. others can help out. hth RV- Maximum Tire Size on 15" Rims + 2" Lift?
i have 28" firestone winterforce on my 91 loyale w/2" lift (205/75/r15). i still had to trim tho. RV- EA82 Cooling Temp Poll.
my 86 wagon runs about 1/2 way all day but my 91 loyale wagon runs at about 1/4 all day (except for when the hgs were going on the old motor) RV- 1978 4x4 wagon build thread
