  1. The local weather guys say there will be some scattered showers on Saturday and a high around 77; so chances are that it will be on the muggy side. They are predicting 85 for tomorrow so the field will be dried out quit a bit. I have other plans for Saturday during the day but I may catch you guys for dinner; if not see ya Sunday.
  2. What you probably have is the Throttle Body Injection system , AKA TBI, AKA SPFI. Basically it's a single fuel injector that is mounted inside of the throttle body. I could be confused with a carburetor, to someone who is unfamiliar with the system.
  3. Isn't the middle of No Where, the place we keep our nukes? Wouldn't our nukes be amoung their first tagets?
  4. Removing the spacers from the heads can be a royal P.I.N.T.A. Also the fange a the end of the Y-Pipe where it meet the mid pipe are not all the same either. 80 and 81 used a flat gasket between the pipe sections, 83+ use a donut and 82 used one or the other; I can't remember which.
  5. we all know, what kind of photoshop skills Brian has.
  6. I tried that last year but a group of Canadians decided to pitch their tents by mine and Canada day just happened to fall on that same weekend.
  7. Another option would be to weld the center diff, and do a T-case mod.
  8. You're probably will want to use axles from a EA82 with a 25 spline DOJ. They may need to be shortened to fit, but they'll handle the EJ power and big tires a lot better. You might consider using EA82 front knuckles and brakes too.
  9. yikes, I still have not fixed my legacy from last time. I guess I need to call Rallitek more often to see is my broken endlink is covered under warranty.
  10. The Automatics do not have a center diff, they have a transfer clutch that engages and disengages the power to the rear wheels, as need. There are a few threads on this board and others, that tell you how to manually control the transfer clutch.
  11. Pack your sunscreen and raincoat. The 7-day forcast is showing 75 on Sunday. Then again, it's April and we'll be in western Oregon, so it could change to showers in 5 minutes.
  12. Check the yellow pages, any bigger city will have a couple of shops that do sand & media blasting.
  13. Either one will get you back on the road in a week or less.
  14. 94 legacy Wagon 97 EJ22 Longblock, single port heads 5MT from 96 impreza so my final drive is now 3.9 instead of the origional 4.11 Header and 2" custom catback. 16" wheels turning 205/55/16 tires Mixed driving I get around 24.5 mpg with a lead foot. My commute take me over Cornelius Pass Rd, From Hwy26 to Hwy30 everyday. I usually drive up the pass in 3rd at about 50mph if the traffic will let me. A couple of months ago I took a trip up to the north end of Seattle and back in one day. I kept the cruise control set to 5mph over the speed limit. The trip was just over 360 miles and I did it on one tank of gas, getting about 28 mpg, on snow tires.
  15. If you guys come down Saturday night, give me a call and we can find some dinner.
  16. Isn't that the same weekend that Connie is in Seattle?
  17. I'm not sure if you qualify as an OF yet. As for me, I had some fun in the Legacy. I got it sideways a few times but I still need to get use to driving it. There's a bit of a power over-steer problem in the slalom and I just can't dump the clutch at 4K when up shifting from 1st to 2nd, like I would do in the GL. Can someone say BBQ clutch disk.
  18. It can be done without removing the end links. If you can crawl under the car without jacking it up, it makes it a little easier to line everything up. Also, it can help to unbolt the jack pad from the front cross member. Doing so allows the sway bar to rotate farther from the bushing mounts.
  19. You should be congratulated too, for winning the M4 class.
  20. Well after today's event, I need to research some clutch upgrades for my Legacy that won't put me into the modified class.
