Rolling Tool Boxes....
The kitchen and restaurant people prefer a brushed finish. I know this because the company I work for dose mostly restaurant tables, cabinets, hoods, etc... This work bench is going to end up in the engine room of a yacht. I might be getting a couple of more picture here in a day or two now that the workbench and matching wall cabinet are ready to ship. And Rob, if you want to see some of my other handy work, go to the Taco Time in Bonney Lake and check out the big prep counter in the middle of the kitchen.

electric impact?
I bought one of these off of ebay 3 years ago, http://cgi.ebay.com/24V-300-Ft-LBS-CORDLESS-IMPACT-WRENCH-2nd-Battery_W0QQitemZ180421016573QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2a01ee3bfd thinking that it could not be any worse than what I could get from Harbor freight. So far it has surpassed my expectations. The battery life is sufficient for multiple tire changes and it came with two batteries. I have been able to remove almost every nut or bolt with it, including axle nuts. If you just need something for the weekends it's not a bad choice. If you need one for you job, invest in something better.

Lock your shop! Hide your tools! Yell at strangers!
Tex, that totally sucks. I hope that karma slaps the [expletive] out of whoever stole your tools. Do you have any update with the insurance claim? It would be great if you recovered some of your investment. Also a set of vice grips like the one pictured below, will hamper a thief's ability to open a garage door from the outside. Place one above one of the roller of the garage door and another one below the same roller. Doing this will not stop every thief but most will give up and leave once they realize that opening the garage door won't be easy.

Rolling Tool Boxes....
It's not a rolling tool box but it's a workbench that I designed at work. It's made mostly from 14ga, type 316 stainless steel with a mirror finish. Personally I would have gone with a bushed finish through out but the yacht company that's buying it wanted it shinny. The drawer slides are rated at a little over 100lb per pair and there are 11 pairs of slides. The slides are also 100% s/s with ball bearings. You don't want to know how much they cost.

Justy Motor to Loyale D/R Transmission
The crusty engine will not bolt directly to any EAXX transmission. An adapter plate a probably a custom flywheel will be required. What is the maxium width that you can have for an engine? An EA81 engine is narrower than an EA82, so it may fit.

Attn: Reno Peeps
Well I just got here and I got my first ticket in 16 years along the way. Bloody CHP, and I was only going 75 in a 65, somewhere south of Alturas. I guess Cali. must be hurting for money if they are going to nail me for that. Hey Dave, I was planning a trip up to Tahoe while I'm here, want to meet up someplace. I can show you my new Subi.

Attn: Reno Peeps
The place I'm staying at is more towards Sparks, so maybe the noise won't be too bad.

Free Beer: Anyone in PDX have the axle tool?
I have one, but I'm up in Longview now, so it's a bit late to tackle this tonight. Unless you want to throw a BIG steak in with the beer and it better be good beer. PM me your digits and we can arrange something.

HELP! ej22 to ej25 swap won't start!
GLCraig replied to Zefy's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXAt some point, Subaru started using different cam pulleys for automatic vs. manual transmission. I know you don't want to hear this but you may need to swap the driver side pulleys between the two engines.

Cheap RWD car
If you are still looking, a Chevrolet Chevette is another option, if you can find one. Some of them had a 1.8L diesel with a 5-speed. All of them had a solid rear axle with coil springs.

Portland OR meets?
Your best bet is to look on www.nasioc.com . There's usually one of two meets a month in the Portland area; just look in the NWIC section.

Legacy sway bars
GLCraig replied to Fairtax4me's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXIf I remember right, for 90-99 Legacys: Front Swaybars are the same for all for the most part. L, LS, LSI will have 14mm rear bar. 96-99 GT 16mm rear bar. 96-99 Outback 18mm rear bar.

clutch fork return spring
Your Subaru didn't come with a clutch return spring from the factory because EA82 Subarus with a manual transmission, came with a hill holder. The hill holder also works as the return spring for the clutch fork.
